This was the perfect gift for my wife, who spends time and money constantly going to Sonic and chik-fil-a just to get a cup of ice. So far so good, only complaint is the SmartHQ app will not let me set up a schedule. Keeps saying "something went wrong ".

I love the GE profile opal ice machine when I first got it. 1 week before the 1 yr warranty gave up it quit making ice. I sent it in to GE to repair and 8 weeks later I received a referbished one that made loud noise. This one only worked for 4 weeks and the warranty is expired now. Not a happy customer!

We absolutely love this product. Our icemaker from our (fridge) is clearly not keeping up and we need to do something. I thought about having one installed but there are several thousand dollars. This is the perfect song I would recommend this product absolutely anybody who's ice production is not being kept up with their fridge/freezer.

This machine is a little confusing to set up, but once you've attempted it, it becomes clear. Same goes for the weekly cleaning. A little spilled water, and you've figured it out. Makes a LOT of ice in a short time, the running noise isn't as bad as some people have told me it was., and so far (1 month in) I've had zero issues with the unit, which I use all day everyday. The clip in the back where the tube ends get plugged in falls off easily, which could have been easily fixed (design flaw) but its not a deal breaker. You just have to pick it up and put it back on if you aren't extra careful each time you plug in ends of the tube in. Optional water filter is a nice touch, but I just start with filtered water so I didn't need to buy that additional feature. Easy to use, and good quality construction. A+

Should have purchased long ago! Have even driving to Sonic weekly to pick up nugget ice and got tired of it so ... after seeing that GE owned this product now, decided to purchase. (Hadn't before due to customer service issues with the original company.) This produce makes better ice thanSonic and I no longer have to worry about running out. Also, the app is helpful as it allows one to set a schedule to have fresh new ice ready. 5 stars (so far!)

My wife has always loved the "best ice" in her drinks. She will drive way out of her way to get some from Sonic or at a gas station that has the "best ice!" Surprising my wife with this Ice Maker for our 36th Anniversary was a HUGE win. In fact, I get "points" each time she uses it!

I love my GE Opal 2.0 Nugget Ice Maker! It's been in constant use since the first batch!! It fits perfectly on my counter and was so easy to set up!. I purchased the model with a side tank for a little extra on the purchase price and I'm so glad I did!! The Opal produces ice quickly and it's mess-free!! Who doesn't love that “good ice?”

This version is good. I hate the squealing noise it makes at times. I had the version prior and it sucked. started having problems right away and now it is garbage. I don't have time to call the company and get this fixed. I believe they should work as describe. It is still a bit big to fit under my counter, which is frustrating a bit. Installation was easy and has a good capacity for one to two people.

This ice maker is worth the money! It's quiet and I can have it running all day without noise or it getting hot. The ice is to die for, but make sure you are using filtered water and not tap. Easy to set up, highly recommend running a couple extra cycles than what is recommended after the bleach. 10/10 it is a must buy!

Great capacity in the ice bin and the side storage tank is a must. Overall Size of the unit is also pretty ok it doesn't take up an excessive amount of space ..but and the big one here is the machine is a never ending fight against scale even when using the replaceable filter in the main tank and filtered water from our fridge 100% of the time. We run the suggested descale procedure regularly but its still impacted. Other issue is when the unit is making ice is squeaks every time before it drops the ice nuggets into the bin. No idea what caused that but it will really wake you up if it starts making ice at night. So overall not a bad machine just fiddly and loud at times
