I've been considering buying this ice maker for a few years now and my old cheap machine finally broke, I decided it was time for an upgrade. Boy am I impressed! This machine does it all! I can program it from my phone, see what it's doing, adjust the lighting, everything! And even better, the ice lasts so much longer than my old machine. It has made such a difference. In my opinion it's worth every penny.

This ice machine was great for just under a year. Now I have had it for just over 2 years. It is very noisy at times, wake you up from deep sleep noisy. Requires a lot of care and cleaning to keep it working properly. Manual says Descale every 2-3 weeks, Sanitize once a week. I am doing both once a week. This is at least 4 hours of labor plus the 18 hour soak time.

This ice maker did not disappoint, it started dropping the soft ice within 15 mins. Using this ice make your smoothie taste a lot better specially the protein drinks they taste like ice cream. I would recommend this ice maker, a little noisy but well worth

Absolutely love this product! It's certainly not our only GE appliance and won't be our last. Currently looking at the 8 in 1 air fryer but this machine holds up to all the hype. Definitely a small investment but worth every penny! Beautiful look too!

I had the original Opal and it unfortunately but the dust after several years of everyday use. The family loves the ice so much we immediately went out and purchased the Opal 2.0 and we couldn't be happier. Some very nice updates to the ice bin itself (stopper for the bin when you pull it out) and the additional buttons/notifications are great along with the 3 lighting options. You've got a fam for life!

I have always wanted a nugget ice maker. So when my ice maker in my freezer broke for second time I researched ice makers and this one had the best reviews. It cost way more than the others, but definitely worth it! I love that I can turn it on and off with my phone. Also love love love the water container connected to the side.

Love this machine! On hot summers we enjoy slushies or cold lemonade. And it even came in handy when I had knee surgery. The only downfall is the hard water calcium build up even with using filters causes mechanical issues. We are on our second one and it's definitely worth buying extended warranty when you purchase your machine. I got my first ice machine over 2 years ago and convinced my aunt to get one too, we both love them!

Simple to use and elegant design. Easy to clean and refill water. A little noisier than I had hoped but can easily become white background noise and worth a little noise for having nugget ice any time I want. Way to go GE! I've only had it for a few days so far but am so glad I spent the extra money to get the smaller ice that my family loves. Now I won't have to hear the obnoxious grinding of ice from the refrigerator anymore.

The Opal 2 makes, hands down, the best crunchy nugget ice available. Never had an ice maker that I looked forward to using like I have with this one. The addition of app control makes it easy to conserve energy and schedule ice when it is needed and conserves power when it isn't.

The packing was secure and protected the ice-maker from any damage in shipping. Simply instructions on how to setup, with bonus WIFI connection. Dual light settings. Noise is not an issue. My wife loves the Sonic ice. I do not recommend many products, but this is well worth the price. Buy the separate water tank. Fits on either side. Wish there was an extended warranty for purchase.
