Love my GE ice machine, I bought another brand previously and it broke down in less than a year. The GE is much quieter, the water tank is bigger and the ice is softer to chew. I should have bought this one from the beginning. You will not regret this purchase.

This 2.0 version is so much better! As an owner of both models, this one is much sleeker, more modern, and quieter than the first version. Additionally, the fan setup and cooling is more efficient which allows it to make ice faster. The Alexa integration and the mobile app allow much better timer and smart home functionality. Overall, very pleased with the improvements made over version 1.0. Despite the price still being a bit steep, I'd definitely recommend!

A friend of ours had the first version and I saw it and had to have it! Very sleek and stylish! I also had to have the ice at home from our favorite southern food chain - Chick Fil A! I was worried after reading some reviews - but have been totally satisfied. It makes a lot of ice for its small size, keeps up with demand, and makes ice quickly in our opinion. I love the water tank feature. I was worried about the noise after reading some reviews, but it definitely doesn't bother us. I would expect there to be some level of noise with a machine, but it is quiet in our opinion. We love it! If your on the fence, buy it! You won't regret it!

Love this ice maker with the additional water tank. It is super easy to use and cleaning it is a cinch compared to trying to clean an in fridge option. The only thing that took a bit of time to get used to is the defrost cycle sounds kind of loud at times with a squeaking noise.

I bought this product to help me increase my water intake while reducing my single use water bottle purchase. This has definitely helped as I am always guaranteed a chilled beverage no matter the type of drink. I absolutely love this and it has exceeded my expectations.

Great little ice maker. Doesn't take much counter space and doesn't require water hook up. Easy to add water. A little pricey. WiFi control allows smart scheduling so ice is available when you need it. Requires frequent cleaning, but this is a small price to pay for high quality ice. I did purchase 5yr warranty when I bought the machine. I am pleased with purchase.

We really love this ice maker! It makes the perfect size ice we want and is almost always full and ready to go! That being said, I keep getting messages that we need to add water even when the water tank is full. And sometimes it won't make the ice unless I power our down then on again. Is it defective? Hmmm not sure but for the price we paid, I'm definitely going to find out! Lol

We had the firstbuild edition of the ice maker, and loved it! Sadly, we didn't take great care of it and it died. Obviously, we couldn't live without our nugget ice, so after a little research (pretty much just between the models), we got this one coming! It arrived quickly, produced ice almost immediately, and has been amazing. It's super quiet compared to the last one, and so many features we disliked have been addressed. Much more user friendly and definitely worth getting. We haven't gotten the app to work, but that didn't matter at all to us, so it's not a negative on our part. Would definitely recommend! Just make sure to take care if it.

We absolutely love our new GE Opal Ice Maker! It's very convenient to have the WIFI connected to be able to set the operation schedule in the app. We wake up to ice ready in they morning and it shuts down in the evening when we're done with it for the day.

Makes the small, chewable ice as intended. Can be noisy when first filling up or defrosting but noise reduces as more ice is produced. Makes ice within 20 minutes as stated but takes approximately 30 for a full cup. Takes up a decent amount of counter space but not much more than a typical countertop toaster oven. The wifi capability makes scheduling easy. If you like the crunchy, “Sonic” ice, this machine does the job.
