Ok, pricey, but yet SO WORTH IT!! The machine is running everyday in our house of 5 (2 adults 3 kids). It's been such a relief to have extra ice (the best type too) along with the fridge ice that just can't keep up. Easy to clean. Easy to install. Wonderful product!!

My wife has always wanted an ice pellet maker, and after plenty of research, we pulled the trigger on the GE profile series. Easy to set up, maintain, and the ice is fantastic. The wifi connection is great to schedule to run starting early in the morning, given that it can be a little noisy, but as expected, while running on the countertop.

My wife and I always loved when a restaurant or event served nugget ice. For us, this was a great home solution. The size is not too big. Use and care seem to be very easy so far. We have owned this product for over (2) months. So far, so good. Hopefully it will last a long time.

We love our new ice machine. Works great and the wifi feature is so convenient to set a schedule and control when I am away from home. We have noticed some noises and it seems to need cleaning more quiet often then I expected so I am trying to understand if its just our water, but overall we love it and are happy with our purchase.

The Opal 2.0 is a real investment—a bit expensive, somewhat heavy, and requiring frequent cleaning—but we think it's completely worth it! GE is telling the truth when they say, “This is the good ice!” The whole family loves the soft, crunchable ice nuggets—as do our guests. We highly recommend the 2.0 model—quieter, easier to use, and seems more reliable.

We have had this ice maker for less than 5 months. We love it when it is working, but it has quite making ice. I have reached out to customer service who contacted me within 24 hours, but has since gone silent. I would love to get it back up and running again. Until it is resolved I will give it 2 stars.

I was super excited that my husband let us get an ice machine because of the cost. After about a month, I feel it has paid off. No more weekly pickups of a bag or two of pebble ice from our local fast food drive-thru, or settling for the crushed ice (more so still big chunks of ice) from the fridge, because I have it at home. You get a nice amount within the first 20 minutes, it's quiet, and so satisfying. Dislike: Cleaning Process.

This produces a higher quality of ice than my refrigerator can make. The extruded pebble ice goes wonderfully with coke or other sodas. It's also almost required for tiki (rum) drinks. I would seriously recommend the storage tower add on. I am currently refilling the tower with water about twice a day as the family enjoys this ice better than the foggy half moons our refrigerator makes.

Works great! At this price point it makes really "Good Ice". It isn't exactly like the drive-in's pellet ice, but close. I like the timer for daily start/stop and the side fill attachment makes it easier to add water as needed. It is a large appliance so I put it in my pantry.

Never have a laid my eye on a more glorious sight. The ice from this thing is freaking awesome. The first bit of each batch does come out like a slushie. But it melts and recirculates the water to make more ice and the bin drains so there isn't a pool of water in with the ice. I downloaded the App and set it up to just make ice 24/7 that way I dont have to manually turn it on ever. The initial cleaning process was a bit involved and it could use some RGB, but thats just my opinion lol
