At first I thought I had to send it back but reading everyone's tips and reviews, I had to wait a few days until it reached its full potential. Now it Makes soo much ice to the point where I don't know where to put it all! Makes the best ice in terms of size and ease. I also enjoy the Bluetooth connectivity so that I can make ice just by the reach of my phone and also put it on an ice making schedule so I don't always have to worry whether it's making enough ice for me throughout the day/night. Great product that I use daily!

I purchased this last month as an anniversary gift. She makes ice about every third day. So far, it keeps me from having to go Sonic every other day to buy a bag of ice. I would have given 5 stars, but I'm waiting to see the longevity of this product. I did purchase a 4 year extended warranty.

Purchased with external water container - this was a bad idea. The machine consistently says add water, even when full. The container does not have a pop open top to fill - must remove, fill, replace, adjust until flowing. PITA! When it makes ice, it is great ice.

As someone who purchased this when it was originally released by Opal (before the GE purchase), I can say this one is a TON better. Better design, quieter, easier to clean, better ice production, the list is seemingly endless. The darker grey color and side water tank are wonderful additions. Ever since GE purchased the company, the unit is vastly superior to the original. Highly recommended!!!!

I've had the opal 2 for about a month and I can say that I love the quality of the ice it makes. It's quiet and has a sleek look that fits great with my kitchen. Some cons would be the price and the cleaning procedures but if you have the time and money this shouldn't be a problem!

I love this machine and can't believe I have been missing out for years on this! I highly recommend! I can set it up on a schedule so I always have ice in the morning for iced coffee or when I get off work for drinks and I don't have to leave it running constantly!

Easy to install, solidly packaged (one note is that I would recommend redesigning the packaging so it's reusable...maybe using the clips like they put on big flatscreen tv boxes) instructions are very straightforward. Easy to clean, easy to fill the side tank which is way more convenient than using the reservoir. Ice starts in less than 20 minutes and you'll have a usable amount in about an hour. WiFi is a great feature to set a schedule so it's not running 24/7. If you've been looking for the “good ice” at home, this is the machine for you.

This is such a luxury purchase, but it makes me happy every morning! I love having iced coffee and having the machine programmed to have nugget ice ready and waiting for me when I get up just starts my day off on a positive note. I've had the machine for 6 months now and have only had to run a clean cycle once, which I credit to only using distilled water. Overall I am so happy with my purchase :D

This is absolutely the best appliance I have bought in a while. This machine can kee up with a family of five who are a bunch of ice lovers... it was quick to start up and get going and we use it every day. Just like the coffee machine. Makes what us nurses call “Hospital Ice” highly recommend

I have really enjoyed how quickly this icemaker is able to produce ice and it is very quiet!!!! I love the side water chamber and the amount of ice that is produced with very little water. The fact that it automatically switches to producing ice when some is removed is a nice feature. It does require frequent cleaning so I would recommend placing it near a sink for easy drainage.
