Works great, makes fantastic ice! FYI........ I received the “Add Water” notification after about 20 minutes into the ice making cycle, but the side tank still had plenty of water. I realized that I had too many things plugged into the same outlet as the ice maker. Once I unplugged the other appliance, the machine started making ice and I haven't had that issue again.

I rent, so I have to deal with the fridge my landlord gave us. I use lots of ice, so having to constantly fill ice cube trays is so tedious and annoying! I've been wanting to get an ice maker for a while now!! Having a countertop ice maker makes things so much easier!! Having a side tank reservoir is great too!! It makes ice quickly and I love that they are nugget sized! Love it.!

The ice is fantastic and the unit is much smaller than my previous ice maker. It was a little bit to get started but I should have read the instructions more. The water filter caused it to stop working and the wireless will not connect. I would like to get those both working for the price it cost. But overall it makes great ice quickly!

Love the ice this thing makes, and it pumps it out fairly quickly. The first unexpected thing was that it's not a freezer, lol, it makes ice to demand! So turn it on, tell Alexa to turn it on, or setup a schedule with the app or Alexa; so that there's always ice when you want it. The other surprise was that you can noticeably hear it whirling when it runs. Not a big deal if it's in the corner of a room that's not near anywhere you need quiet.

We had one of the small countertop ones that worked ok, but it failed after a year and also was inconsistent at making ice. This one makes great "little cubes" that make our drinks very nice! I had a little issue with the side tank (hole for water to go through still had plastic at opening, but once I opened that up, everything was fine.

I just spent a lot of money on version 1.0 of the ice maker and I do like it. As soon as I purchased it, version 2.0 came out with better features especially when it comes to hygene and safety. Is it a possibility to trade up and pay a difference? My machine is literally only a few months old.

I did a lot of research and reviews on nugget ice makers and this one was rated #1 that doesn't always mean it's the best but it does here. It's super quiet makes ice very fast and the ice tastes great if you're on the fence about getting one don't waste money on the cheaper ones that will tear up in 2 weeks get the best name brand in appliances get a GE you won't be disappointed. I bought this product to help me increase my water intake while reducing my single use water bottle purchase. This has definitely helped as I am always guaranteed a chilled beverage no matter the type of drink. I absolutely love this and it has exceeded my expectations.

I am very disappointed in the Opal 2. I had the previous version Opal 1, I had to replace it twice during the first year because it kept breaking down. I love the ice though so I thought I would try the newer version. Unfortunately the side tank is smaller and needs constant refilling and the ice maker produces ice much slower.

Don't like it. You can't leave the ice in the opal longer then 5/10 minutes after it's done making ice or it will melt fast. The app for the opal doesn't work half the time. I loved the fact that you could control the opal from ur phone like turning it on/off lighting etc until I found out the app isn't working most of the time. It starts producing ice around tge 20 minute mark but the first 3 or 4 times it dumps ice it's basically water so in reality it doesn't start producing ice until somewhere around tge 49 minute mark.
