I received my opal2.0 and set up per the instructions. The ice maker worked decently for about 5 days and then would stop because the add water light would come on even though the side tank was full. I completed the recommended troubleshooting for that issue with no success. Continuing to add water after a cycle. The machine began to squeal louder and louder when making ice after the 5th day is use. I really wished this worked better because I liked the look and ice. Not worth the price in my opinion. Also shipped and came dented.

The ice it makes is advertised. Soft enough to chew yet it won't melt fast. No complaints about the ice making capability. However the machine makes noises during the defrost. Within two weeks of owning the machine, the noise during defrost has gotten much worse. Going to return this machine.

I am so glad I moved forward with the purchase of the Opal 2.0 Ice Maker. It produces a delightful textured ice with the perfect size Our family literally looks forward to our family gatherings knowing we will all be enjoying the ice. Who would have imagined that “ice” really does add to family gatherings. Home Run GE!

Where to begin? The ice is perfect - in shape, consistency and chew (yes, I have ice chewers!) from kids drinks to adult beverages it's great. My husband especially likes the wifi capability and scheduling so that the ice is ready when we want it. Once it gets going it keeps the ice container full and much to our surprise there was still ice the next day in the bin. Can't wait to use it poolside under the cabana this summer!

I love the WiFi capabilities so when I'm on the way home I can start making some ice so it's ready. The SmartHQ app is so helpful and even notifies when it needs to be cleaned. The cleaning process is actually pretty easy just a little lengthy sometimes. All in all, I'm in love with it

I love the ICE maker! This is however my 3rd one. The others only last 2 years, but they run 24/7. Well worth the price over and over. Don't have to leave the house to get the ice that I love to eat. It's smaller than chickfila but larger than sonic for reference.

I received my opal ice machine for my birthday 8-17-21 and I've been in love from the first time I used it! I'm an RN at the hospital and I fell in love with crushed/hospital ice. I eat about 6 big cups a day. I would bring ice home from work and out in my freezer. LOL. My husband got tired of me having like 8-10 cups of ice in our freezer taking up room so he bought me the opal ice machine! Best gift I ever got! The only thing I would change about the machine is for it to have a way to store the ice when it's done making. It's not a problem tho. I just keep 2 one gallon zip loc bags full in my freezer and when I get low I make another water tank full and 1 tank full is equivalent to 1 gallon bag full!

To start this nugget ice machine was so easy to put together and get started. It made ice so fast, I was super impressed by that! I also love how easy it is to clean. This nugget ice machine is definitely worth every penny and I'm so happy I purchased this. I would definitely recommend this to ice lovers.

I bought this about a month ago because I was tired of buying bags of ice from the grocery store. I wasn't sure how good this icemaker really would be, but I am pleasantly surprised! It has surpassed my expectations, and I highly recommend this! The small nugget ice is wonderful. And this machine is a little workhorse! I use it daily and absolutely love it.

Wonderful nugget ice maker. The best you can buy. It's pretty quiet, makes ice fast and I love that you can set an on/off schedule with the app. However, it is expensive and if it stops working hopefully you're still under warranty because your options for repair are non-existent. We're on our second unit because the last one started leaking 6 months after the warranty ended and there was nothing we could do but junk it and buy a new one.
