I absolutely positively love the Opal 2.0 i love 🧊 i use it all day every day of my life. The opal is easy to clean, even easier to use, tastes great, and I have no clue how I lived without it. You get soft chewable ice that tastes great and is always available without taking up all your freezer room. This device is the best and as long as GE makes it i will own it! Thank you GE you are the best!!!

Ice maker makes ice very fast and perfect ice size. Ice box fills up fast. Does tend to melt if not used quickly, but makes new ice just as quick. We are very pleased with this ice maker and have told several friends how great it is and they also have purchased one also.

I really love this icemaker. I wish it wasn’t quite so expensive, but I’m definitely getting my moneys worth. My unit has been very quiet, some people have complained about loud noise. I feel like if that’s happening you need to have it serviced! Using the app to set daily times for one to have my eyes begin has been very helpful instead of just having it run 24/7. I wish somehow it could go a little longer between cleaning cycles, but I’m willing to do what is necessary to keep this wonderful and expensive device running smoothly.

OMG the most amazing ice maker ever, blue tooth remote to control ice making/you can set a schedule or manually control from your phone, the ice bin stays full for days, a big plus for me, to always have ice, and te taste/crunch rated 10, even though tiny ice nuggets, ice lasts / remains frozen for days in beverages stored in yeti/ritc type flasks.

Love the ice maker and its pellet ice, Makes all drinks taste better. Easy to set up and refill on a daily basis. What I do find exhausting is how often it needs to be cleaned and descaled. Also very time consuming so you have to be committed with proper upkeep if you are going to purchase.

I have wanted this ice machine for ages and have hemmed and hawed because of the price but I'm so glad I finally got it. I have had other ice machines that were so loud, felt dirty, didn't look nice on my counter and worst of all....didn't make pebble ice! This is really the only option. Just take the plunge, it's worth it. ps. Some people say this machine is loud and I have no idea what they're talking about. I find it incredibly quiet.

I love the product. This is my second one. The first lasted just one year but I had not cleaned it as often as recommended so I took ownership of that and just replaced it. This new one has been about 4 months and it has grinded and moaned and made terrible noises since it was about 2 months old. I clean it often but the loud noise is horrific

I have a very busy family of five. We are always on the goi for work, school, and play. This counter to ice maker is just what we needed. It’s able to keep up with our demands for ice usage and then some! I love that I can program what times are best for my family. Truly blown away!

I am writing this because. I’ve already had the earlier model and it wasn’t as well designed as this 2,0. The ice bin is better and side by side it makes ice faster and is much less noisy as compared to the earlier model. The knowing that the unit is defrosting is an added feature that I think I will like.

This is my third opal ice maker. I love these things! They typically have a set lifespan around 2-4 years in my experience. Regardless, these machines make the best ice! Recommend using distilled water to increase its life expectancy and to ensure cleaning of the machine is completed regularly. Makes enough ice for a family of 8. Easy set up and install. Fits perfectly under our kitchen cabinets. Runs quietly.
