The product makes great ice very quickly and the ice bin holds it frozen. The WiFi feature allows for easy status monitoring. The one downside is that the ice maker is a bit noisy throughout all of its cycles. Since we have set this up in the basement, the noise isn't an issue for us. It is not ideal as a kitchen countertop appliance.

I’m absolutely obsessed, the sounds the machine make are super mild and don’t bother me at all. The only problem (or what I think might be a problem) that I’m having is I’ve already had to descale twice in two months. It makes me worry about the life of the machine!

We've been through 3 countertop ice makers. I decided to give this one a try, because I was tired of cheap ones that broke. Like a lot of people, i had an Add Water issue in the beginning. However, once I made sure the tank hose wasn't bent wrong, it worked perfectly. Makes the perfect ice for enjoying with your drink, or for making protein shakes, smoothies or other type drinks. Compared to our others, it is quiet (yes, some are some squeaks if you run it constantly for hours on end, but that is just from the process and you don't hear it unless it is completely quiet). It looks great in the kitchen and the lights add a pleasant effect at night. I highly recommend the product.

I am so glad I moved forward with the purchase of the Opal 2.0 Ice Maker. It produces a delightful textured ice with the perfect size Our family literally looks forward to our family gatherings knowing we will all be enjoying the ice. Who would have imagined that “ice” really does add to family gatherings. Home Run GE!

This ice maker was given to me on the occasion of my 65th birthday by my wonderful family! I haven’t had it even a week but so far all has been well and I am just so delighted with this ice maker and the yummy ice it produces! Easy to use, makes wonderfully crunchy ice... Maybe my best gift...ever!!!

The Opal is working fine but the side tank is not. If everything worked, I would give it a 5*. It worked for a few days but then it stopped feeding water into the machine, and it allows the pump to run dry. We just keep having to put water in the machine rather than in the tank.

What can I say hands down to this perfect ice maker machine. I Love everything about it from the little light on there to constance fresh batches of ice being made every time some is taken out and it comes with an ice scoop. You won’t regret your purchase. It’s worth the price to me :)

After 10.5 months, consistent issues started—it wouldn’t produce ice, received add water errors. We have watched endless tutorials for trouble shooting, only ever used distilled water in it, and ran the clean and disinfect cycles monthly (every 3-4 weeks) as directed by the manual. Not worth the money

The output of this machine, nugget ice, is great and the whole family loves it…nobody is using our refrigerators ice anymore! The unit is a bit loud when running and the ice does melt consistently within the unit. Would appreciate more robust insulation, for both the noise and the ice itself (even if there is not a viewing window)…

We had a version 1 for 6+ years and it worked great. It finally stopped working and we decided to buy the new version with the side tank. We are extremely happy that our first one lasted as long as it did and really like to newer version. The side tank is very handy.
