We have had this ice maker for less than 5 months. We love it when it is working, but it has quite making ice. I have reached out to customer service who contacted me within 24 hours, but has since gone silent. I would love to get it back up and running again. Until it is resolved I will give it 2 stars.

I was skeptical about clumping and lack of refrigeration but the ice last a long time and as it melts it recycles and makes more. The clumping isn't an issue either because the nuggets break apart with barely a touch. The texture of the ice is perfect and easy to chew and is just like Sonic ice. Hoping GE add this ice to their refrigerator line because I would buy that in a minute.

Ive been buying nugget ice from a food chain for over a year and I've been seeing this ice maker all over the internet.. I did some research and I decided to give it a go. I have to say it's the best purchase I've made this year. It's worth every penny

Love this ice maker, it was very easy to set up. It tells you when you should clean it. Has an extra water supply on the side so you are not always adding water. Makes Ice fairly quickly and does not melt as fast either. Also has a WIFI connection and app so you can check it and it tells you if it needs descaling etc. I would recommend this product.

This version and app better then the 1st Opal hunk o junk. We found when powering the unit on there was some thin blue plastic bag type material floating on the inside causing noise. I was able to pull out the plastic with some tweezers from the side. You buy American you get these kinds of quality issues. It does make ice and runs better than v1 opal. Not sure I'd recommend it

After doing a ton of research, we decided to bite the bullet and splurge on this product. We based our decision on multiple reviews across many sites online. We wanted pure nugget ice not hollow bullet ice. And this machine is worth the investment. Our refrigerator's ice machine freezes over and is therefore unreliable. So this was just the thing we needed. Set up was a bit confusing, but we figured it out. And it can get quite noisy. So those are the only two "cons" to this machine.

We love the ice from this machine. It is the best ice. It keeps up fairly good with four people in the house. Problem is, even with regular cleaning, it seems to break down a lot in different ways. We are on our fourth machine. But we keep pushing through because we love the ice. I would love to give it five stars, but I just can't.

I love ice!!! And the nuggets are so satisfying to chew on. I would make my husband and daughter pick up bags of ice every 2-3 days, and it would take up so much freezer space. I must say I'm so glad I got this bundle of joy.!!! Only thing I wish I did was purchase the one that has a tank on the side but it's a bite much having to pull the whole tray out just to refill the tank with water. But I'm still satisfied. It doesn't take long at all to fill up the tray with ice at all.

I am so glad we bought it! the price is a bit steep, but the pellet ice is the best. So far the machine is working great. It does make noise when making ice, but otherwise quiet. The cleaning is easy and keeps the ice tasting great. Hoping this last many, many years.

I love this machine and can't believe I have been missing out for years on this! I highly recommend! I can set it up on a schedule so I always have ice in the morning for iced coffee or when I get off work for drinks and I don't have to leave it running constantly!
