It’s especially strong for movies and gaming, offering fast response times, low input lag, and full HDMI 2.1 support on all ports. The TV handles HDR well, producing rich contrast and impressive detail, and LG’s webOS platform remains smooth and easy to navigate. While the C5 is brighter than earlier C-series models, it still isn’t as bright as some high-end Mini-LED or QD-OLED competitors, which can matter in rooms with a lot of direct sunlight. Reflection handling is good but, like most OLEDs, not perfect in very bright environments. Overall, the LG C5 is a fantastic balance of performance and value—ideal for movie lovers, gamers, and anyone who wants premium image quality without stepping up to a more expensive flagship model.

The picture quality is just super clean and natural, with deep blacks and realistic colors without oversaturation. Out of the box it already looked good, and after a bit of tweaking it’s become amazing for everything — movies, shows, sports, all of it just looks perfect and the size makes it feel pretty cinematic at home. For gaming, though, it really shines. Input lag feels very low, and once Game Mode is on, everything just responds instantly on PS5/PC. 4K at high refresh rates, VRR, and those HDMI 2.1 ports make it easy to plug in multiple devices and not think about it again. HDR games look great too — bright highlights, detailed dark areas, and no weird smearing or ghosting in fast scenes. If you’re into gaming and also want something that’s just solid for everyday watching, this has been a amazing upgrade.

I upgraded from a 50 inch sharp that I bought in 2012, I couldn't be more impressed on the different of these two TV's. The Immersive experience is next level. The TV is super fast to turn on from standby mode. I am still trying to go through all the settings and customize it to my setup. I connect the TV primarily to a home theater PC, haven't tried many apps beyond youtube on the tv it worked as I would expect. F1 looks amazing I watched the Las Vegas GP and was blown away by this TV. People say this TV isn't as bright as the G5, but at max brightness this thing will fry your eyeballs at night. Would highly recommend the c5 83 inch to anyone on the fence.

I have mine in a large bright room and it is true that it is bright room ready. I enjoy the new magic remote with the new AI assistant! If you are thinking about getting this vs a QLED tv, it is worth the money!

The picture quality is outstanding, truly crispy and clear. The vibrant colors and contrast, really adds another layer to moving watching, making it all the more enjoyable. As an added bonus, the TV is very responsive and user friendly. This TV would be a lovely edition to anyone's home! Highly reccomend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to upgrade my 10-year-old TV setup to catch up on 4K and get more size. My room dimensions are 14x22ft and we sit about 10 feet from the TV. The 77-inch size is perfect for that configuration. Setup was easy. The Ethernet port was nice for hooking the TV directly into the network, although wifi would have also been fine. The smart apps and home setup work well and the processor seems sufficiently quick that app launches and updates are smooth and don't feel underpowered in any way. Depending on your firewall you may need to allow access to some sites to get app and firmware updates to work, otherwise you will run into -102 (connectivity) and -202 (certificate) errors. The default settings had the classic soap opera effect which I was quick to update. Once that was resolved the TV was exceptional. We don't deal with a lot of glare in our room setup so I can't comment on that, but the picture was fantastic for our purposes. ARC setup worked well to drive audio back into our receiver. TV sound quality seemed fine, although I think for a TV like this you will get the most out of it with a receiver+speaker setup. I saw some concerns about the remote but honestly it worked very well for us. I will be ditching our universal remote and Roku as the TV covers both well. I do wish the buttons were backlit. That feels like a miss for a TV at this price point. All in all I was very happy with the TV. Unboxing through setup were smooth and movies shine on this display. Highly Recommended.

The picture quality is absolutely stunning with deep blacks, crisp detail, and brightness that finally feels strong enough for daytime viewing without washing out. HDR movies look incredible, and gaming is buttery smooth with virtually zero input lag. What surprised me most is how balanced it is. Great motion handling for sports, excellent upscaling for lower-resolution content, and the new panel really does improve reflections compared to past generations. The size upgrade to 77" completely changes the experience and it feels cinematic without overwhelming the room. Setup was quick, the interface is responsive, and all of my devices synced without any weird quirks or lag. If you’re on the fence about stepping up to a large OLED or moving to this year’s LG lineup, this is easily the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. It genuinely feels like a “replace all other screens” type of TV. Highly recommend.

Excellent glare coating that virtually eliminates glare. A huge step up in picture quality from my other Korean competitor TV from a few years ago. Worth every penny!

The only problem that I ran into was that the Alexa voice command does not work as it should be. Still working on this problem
