[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG OLED C5 surpassed my expectations in brightness, quality, and responsiveness - I was shopping around for a long time, and decided on the C5 because it was one of the best OLED TVs available in a not-break-the-bank price range. It took a while to get used to the remote control, but once I did, it was a breeze. I though the 77" inch TV was perfect for our family room, which was fairly large and so this TV was a well-needed upgrade. The sound quality was fine, but I had our family room wired with speakers, so connecting it to an external amplifier was a breeze - otherwise, I would have used an LG soundbar as well.

The 77" screen completely changes movie nights – blacks are truly black, colors are rich without looking fake, and HDR content really pops. The newer OLED evo panel with Brightness Booster / “Bright Room Ready” holds up surprisingly well in my bright living room, which was my biggest concern going in. For gaming, this TV is a beast: 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, support for up to 4K/144Hz with VRR and ALLM, and super low input lag. My PS5/PC games look incredibly smooth, and the TV automatically switches into the right game mode. webOS is snappy, apps like Netflix/Disney+/Prime are built in, and the new Alpha 9 Gen 8 processor keeps everything feeling fast while also doing excellent upscaling on 1080p content. The picture quality is absolutely breathtaking — deep, inky blacks, vibrant yet natural colors, and incredible contrast that makes every movie and sports game pop off the screen. Even in a bright room, the OLED panel handles glare surprisingly well. The new Alpha 11 AI processor does an amazing job optimizing content automatically — from 4K Blu-rays to streaming shows, everything looks crisp and lifelike. Motion is buttery smooth, and the 120Hz refresh rate combined with LG's Game Optimizer makes this a dream for gaming. The input lag is nearly nonexistent, and HDMI 2.1 support on all ports is a huge plus for next-gen consoles. The webOS interface is fast and intuitive, and pairing it with the Magic Remote feels natural — voice commands work great too. The built-in speakers are surprisingly full, but pairing it with a Dolby Atmos soundbar takes it to a whole new level. At 83 inches, the size is immersive without overwhelming the room. You would think a company would make it as easy as possible to purchase and acquire your item. Instead you jump through multiple hoops, many of which are in place to try and get you to forfeit your warranty. Product 4/5 company 2/5.
