Love this TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been hesitant to pull the trigger on an OLED for our main living room because we have a lot of windows, and I was always worried it would look too dim during the day. After reading about the 2025 models, I finally decided to grab the 65” LG C5, and wow—I genuinely don't know why I waited so long. The Brightness (It actually handles daylight!) This was my biggest worry, but the "Brightness Booster" on the C5 is legitimate. We watched a football game last Sunday at noon with the blinds halfway open, and the picture still popped. It's significantly brighter than older OLEDs I've seen at friends' houses. When the sun goes down and you watch HDR content (like Dune or Mandalorian), it's stunning. The blacks are perfect ink-dark, obviously, but those bright highlights—lasers, sunsets, reflections—are actually intense now. It doesn't just look good "for an OLED," it just looks incredible, period. Gaming Performance (Kid-Approved) While I use it for movies, the main reason we upgraded was for gaming, and this TV is an absolute cheat code. It has four full HDMI 2.1 ports, so we have both the PS5 and the gaming PC hooked up without fighting over ports. Running games at 144Hz is shockingly smooth; the difference in responsiveness is something you feel immediately in fast-paced shooters. The Game Optimizer dashboard is also super handy for quickly tweaking settings without digging through menus. The Real Test: My Son loves it My teenage son, who usually prefers playing on his high-refresh-rate gaming monitor in his room, has completely taken over the living room since we got this. He hooked up his PC to test it out and hasn't left. He plays a lot of competitive shooters (Valorant, Apex) and said the input lag is practically non-existent—he actually told me it feels "cracked" (which I assume means very good). We also played some co-op console games, and the colors and fluidity make everything feel next-gen again. Verdict If you were worried about brightness like I was, don't be. The C5 fixed that. It's the perfect hybrid TV—incredible for daytime sports and movies, and absolutely elite for gaming. It's an expensive purchase, but the whole family is loving it. Highly recommended.
Absolutely Blown Away by the Picture Quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to the 77-inch LG C5 and it is absolutely stunning. The picture quality is incredible thanks to the new Alpha 9 Gen8 processor—the upscaling makes everything look sharp, and the OLED perfect blacks are unmatched. The Brightness Booster really makes HDR content pop, even in a room with some ambient light, which was a nice surprise compared to older OLEDs. For gaming, this TV is a beast. The 144Hz refresh rate and instant response time make games feel incredibly smooth, and having four full HDMI 2.1 ports is super convenient for connecting multiple consoles. The new webOS 25 interface is snappy and easy to navigate. The built-in sound is decent for such a thin profile, but I definitely recommend pairing it with a soundbar to match the cinematic visuals of the 77-inch screen. Highly recommended!
King of Value
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from an older LED, and the LG C5 is truly a game-changer. This TV is the perfect sweet spot for anyone who wants flagship-level performance without paying for the absolute top-tier model. The picture quality is stunning. The perfect blacks that OLED is famous for are here, but the addition of the Brightness Booster tech means HDR movies and sunny scenes finally pop, even in my moderately bright living room. Colors are vibrant and accurate right out of the box. As a serious gamer, the 144Hz refresh rate, G-Sync, and FreeSync support, combined with the four HDMI 2.1 ports, make this TV unbeatable. My console and PC games run flawlessly—smooth, crisp, and with zero lag. My only minor critique is the built-in sound; while decent for dialogue, it doesn't do justice to the stunning visuals, so a soundbar is a must for a truly cinematic experience. The new Alpha 9 Gen 8 processor keeps the WebOS interface fast and responsive, and the design is impossibly thin and sleek. If you're looking for the best all-around OLED TV of 2025 without jumping up to the G5's price tag, this is it. Highly recommend!
The best TV for the money you spend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would give the LG OLED77C5PUA a 5-star rating. Here's why: This TV offers an incredible viewing experience. The OLED evo panel delivers deep, perfect blacks and vibrant colors, while the α9 Gen 8 processor makes upscaling and motion handling feel really smart and natural. For gamers, the high refresh rate and VRR support mean smooth gameplay, which is hard to beat at this size. The smart features are modern and flexible, and the audio is more than adequate for most users — though serious audio enthusiasts might still want a soundbar or surround setup. There are some minor trade-offs (like brightness not being blinding in all modes, or the remote feel), but they're relatively small considering the overall performance and image quality. The 77″ screen is a real centerpiece, turning your living room into a cinematic space. If you're looking for a large OLED TV that balances picture quality, gaming features, and smart functionality without going into ultra-premium flagship pricing, this is an outstanding pick. Highly recommended.
Outstanding TV — Bright, Beautiful, and Easy to Se
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the LG OLED C5 in the 83” size, and it has exceeded every expectation. The picture quality is absolutely incredible—rich colors, perfect blacks, and stunning HDR performance. Even in my family room, which has multiple windows and a lot of natural light throughout the day, the C5 stays impressively bright without losing contrast or looking washed out. It handles bright-room viewing better than any OLED I've owned. The setup process was surprisingly fast and straightforward. LG's guided onboarding made it easy to get everything connected and ready to watch right away. Within minutes, I had my streaming apps installed and was already enjoying content. Overall, the C5 delivers a premium viewing experience in every way. If you're looking for a large-screen OLED that combines outstanding brightness, top-tier picture quality, and a hassle-free setup, this TV is an incredible choice.
BIGGER IS BETTER and AMAZING!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really cannot comprehend how far Tvs have come in just a few years. This C5 OLED comes with an amazing amount of clarity and brightness that helps if you have a bright room. Out the box, the colors all pop on each picture setting. There's no tinkering that needs to be done. I hooked it up with my PC and PS5 and you can tell the extra Hrz really helps with gaming. I cannot think of any negatives but if you're on the fence between a 65 inch or 77 inch, go for bigger. That's a huge difference in size and it really helps bring out the picture. GREAT GREAT PRICE TOO
Best Oled Ever Owned
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blacks are deep and greens are Amazing. Watch a lot of soccer and premier league and one of the major struggles most TV's is that judder and dirty green effect. I get none of that while watching a game
