New LG 42 Inch C5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely satisfied with the picture quality of the C5. The 4K upscaling of our Blu-Ray collection is exceptional. Size was a limitation and the newer 2026 model did not offer much of an upgrade over the 2025 model. An additional positive is I have been able to take advantage of the Auracast feature for consumers who are hard of hearing and have compatible hearing aids. I'm also excited about the future WebOS updates that come with this purchase. The only minor negative is there are no inputs for legacy AV components. Fortunately, my old VCR/DVD combo has an HDMI output. Very happy to add a second LG OLED TV to my home.

Great Picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love my new LG OLED, Im 85 years old and not a High Tech Person. I think I need help with a few set up issues but don't know who to call. I have a total of 7 LG Products and am happy with all of them.

Top-Tier OLED TV with Stunning Visuals

I am a LG employee family member, and I purchased this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review. I've been extremely impressed with the 55-inch LG OLED evo AI C6. The picture quality is simply outstanding—deep blacks, vibrant colors, and incredible contrast make everything from movies to sports look stunning. The OLED technology really shines, especially in darker scenes where detail is often lost on other TVs. The AI-powered features are a nice touch as well. The upscaling works better than expected, making older content look sharper and more refined. The interface is fast and intuitive, and navigating apps like Netflix, YouTube, and others is seamless. Sound quality is also surprisingly good for a flat-panel TV, with clear dialogue and decent depth, though pairing it with a soundbar would take it to the next level. Setup was quick and straightforward, and the overall design is sleek and modern—it looks great in my living room. Overall, this TV delivers a premium viewing experience and feels like a solid investment for anyone who values top-tier picture quality and smart features. Highly recommended!

A Reliable, Stunning OLED for Movies and Gaming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I had to describe myself, I would say I am built for people who care about picture quality without wanting to fuss over a lot of settings. My OLED panel gives you deep blacks, clear highlights, and rich colors that stay consistent no matter what you watch. I handle fast action well, so sports and gaming look clean and fluid. My interface is webOS, and I try to keep things quick for you. Apps load fast, and the Magic Remote makes it easy to jump around without feeling lost in menus. Gamers usually like me because I support 4K at 120 Hz, have very low input lag, and work smoothly with the latest consoles. My speakers do the job for regular TV, though I admit I sound better paired with a good soundbar. I am thin, light, and look sharp on the wall or a stand. Overall, I take pride in delivering strong performance, simple usability, and a large cinematic screen that feels good for movies, shows, and games. If you want a TV that is reliable and easy to live with, I do my part well.

Rich colors and deep black make it extremely vivid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The contrast of the rich colors and the deep blacks make the viewing experience extremely vivid. The smart features are very convenient and make hands free controlling your television easy with Amazon Alexa. It came with a free LG sound bar so the overall sound quality of the setup is excellent. My previous 70 inch LG was 10-20 lbs heavier due to being older and thicker. The new OLED 77 inch C5 is razor thin and awesome looking when wall mounted which was so easy due it being so light. The glass screen seems sturdier than the old LCD technology soft screen. I was still very scared to handle it while wall mounting it due to it being so thin but it installed great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got the TV today and set it up. It is an excellent OLED tv with outstanding picture and good sound. LG really did an incredible job with this TV! Everything is fully functional and working properly. I am using the TV with PC, blue-ray player, it works great so far.

Great colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never owned a TV that looks this good. The colors are ridiculous, whether in a lit or in a dark room. The refresh rate for gaming is amazing, feels like I've been missing out my whole life on what games should look and play like. The sound is unlike other TV's, just the TV alone with a volume of 20-25 is super loud. Everything is easy to navigate, looked great on a tv stand and even better when I mounted it a week later.

Awesome Upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV has been a fantastic upgrade from my previous TV that suddenly died. The remote takes some getting use to, but I like it overall. Very responsive and fluid operating system and a crisp picture.

Good picture - bad experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TV came and looked great, good picture quality. TV died within 24 hours of being hung on the wall. I noticed a small crack on the top left hand side of the screen and called to ask about it. The whole process to get it swapped out has been cumbersome and agitating. We're going over a month since my initial order and I just got an E-mail saying it'll be another 3-4 weeks.

Terrible remote, no setting to fix

The remote is genuinely terrible. It constantly activates a very ugly and cumbersome pointer. I thought upon setting up the TV that I could easily go into settings and disable it, but no, I discover that it is a permanent built in feature that cannot be disabled. I do further research and find that this has been a problem for years, with people begging for another option and LG ignoring them. For a premium OLED TV, that is honestly unacceptable, the TV should be easy to use out of the box and not feel like it is actively fighting against you as you try to navigate content and settings. It may be a solvable issue using third party hardware, but due to the fact that the TV is very annoying and difficult to use without additional purchases and doesn't give a tiny toggle in the settings to disable “magic pointer” forever (while loading up the TV with bloat and software that the user will never want to use, such as an AI chatbot), I am not able to give this TV higher than one star. Hopefully, if enough people speak out, LG will listen and the TV will be usable out of the box.
