LG C5 83 Inch, A Stunning Upgrade for Any Room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG C5 83 inch delivers sharp picture quality, strong brightness, and smooth motion that makes movies and sports look clean. The colors stay accurate from every seat in your room. The OLED panel gives you deep blacks that improve contrast in every scene. The interface responds fast and keeps apps easy to access. The size fills your field of view and pulls you into whatever you watch. The TV handles gaming with low input lag and strong HDR performance. It gives you a premium experience that feels worth the price.

Awesome TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's just get straight to the point: the LG C5 is exactly what you expect from LG's mid-range OLED—which is to say, it's brilliant. If you're upgrading from an older LED or even a few-year-old OLED, you'll notice the difference immediately. That perfect, inky black level that only OLED can deliver is as stunning as ever, but LG has clearly kept pushing the brightness. While it's not quite the sun-gun that the high-end G5 is, the C5 is definitely bright enough to make HDR content truly pop, even in a moderately lit room. The picture quality is simply beautiful. Colors are rich and accurate, and thanks to the new Alpha 9 Gen 8 processor, motion handling is incredibly smooth. Watching a 4K movie in Filmmaker Mode (with Dolby Vision, naturally) feels like getting a private screening. The sense of depth and contrast is just unbeatable at this price point. Where the C5 truly shines is for gamers. With four full HDMI 2.1 ports, 144Hz VRR support, G-Sync, and an absurdly fast 0.1ms response time, this thing is future-proofed for the fastest PC and console gaming. If you own an Xbox Series X and want to take advantage of Dolby Vision Gaming, the C5 is a no-brainer. Everything is crisp, tear-free, and buttery smooth. Now for the few gripes. Firstly, if you're getting the smaller 42-inch or 48-inch models, you lose the full Brightness Booster technology and the anti-glare screen found in the 55-inch and up versions. That's a real shame for desktop users or those with smaller, brighter rooms. Secondly, the new remote design feels like a step backward. It's slimmer, but they moved the dedicated mute button to a long press on the volume rocker, which is just annoying when you need silence right now. Finally, while the WebOS smart platform is comprehensive, the push toward more AI features and a few intrusive home screen ads is a distraction on a premium television. You can disable the ads, thankfully, but it shouldn's be a thing in the first place. The Verdict: The LG C5 is the sweet spot in the OLED market. It delivers flagship picture quality and unmatched gaming performance. If you can stretch your budget for the 55-inch or larger size to get the full brightness boost, this is a TV that will absolutely dominate your living room entertainment for years to come.

MY first LG OLED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great TV with excellent picture quality. I also got the S90TR soundbar, so the sound is loud and impressive as well. The only thing I don't like is the frequency of the ad integrations, when the TV goes into standby mode, the ads become really annoying.

Excellent picture quality and webOS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're looking for a large-screen (77″) TV and want one that delivers top-tier visual performance, modern gaming features, and a smart TV experience with solid upscaling and future-proofing, the LG C5 is a very strong choice. Just make sure your room conditions support it (i.e., controllable light and viewing distance suitable for 77″)

Stunning OLED once you disable Energy Saving

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The OLED77C5PUA delivers incredible picture quality, deep blacks, and excellent HDR once it's set up correctly. Out of the box it can look dim because “Energy Saving Auto” is enabled — turn that off and the panel becomes much brighter. Movies in HDR and Dolby Vision look amazing, and gaming at 4K 120Hz/144Hz is smooth with almost zero input lag. Not the brightest TV for very sunny rooms, but overall one of the best OLEDs for both movies and gaming.

Finally Pulled The Trigger & SO Happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've long been eyeing the LG OLED line but have previously ended up with another brand until now. Finally pulled the trigger after seeing the TV in person and talking to a coworker who had a fantastic experience. This TV is the centerpiece for our new family room and I'm so excited to watch sports games and family movie night for many years to come!

Great TV - Magic Remote, Not So Great

Great Picture and Sounds - The "magic" remote does NOT have numbers to channel select. Instead, you must use the optic pointer which is clumsy at best...but I have only owned the TV for 2 days....

Movie and Gaming Star Performer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the OLED83C5PUA mainly for gaming and movies, and it's been great. The picture looks unreal — blacks are truly black, colors pop, and everything looks super sharp on the big screen. Games feel smooth and responsive with no lag that I can notice, even in fast action. Movies look like a theater at home, especially with HDR — dark scenes still show detail instead of turning into a gray mess. Overall, it's a huge upgrade and I'd absolutely recommend it if you want a big OLED that delivers.
