Mainly the seepage of liquid every time you open the bin. Also the spraying of water all over the ice (causing it to melt) every time you get any amount of ice from the bin. Requires constant wiping off of area around the icemaker every time you open the bin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting an ice maker for a very long time. I've had this one for six months now and absolutely love it. It's fast, filling up the ice bin in less than an hour and makes enough for a beverage in 15 minutes. It is extremely easy to fill both the main reservoir and the reserve tank. The cleaning process is easy as well, maybe tedious, but easy. I live in an area with semi- hard water and have dealt with calcium deposits but its onlt an issue if not cleaned regularly. I am so happy with this machine!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was SO excited for this product and it is holding up to the hype. I have always wanted an ice maker but never pulled the trigger on one. It makes the perfect bite size nuggets (my kids love just snacking on some ice now) and the reserve tank makes it easy for a busy mom to keep up with. It is a little loud while making ice (but I can't say I've come across a quiet ice machine) and im concerned about how hard it may he to clean/sanitize in the future but so far I'm obsessed! Also a nice touch it matches my other GE appliances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nugget ice maker is really nice. Very good quality material, only complaint is that it is a little large and it is HEAVY. I wish there was a way to have the machine a tad smaller. But over all it’s easy to set up, it holds a gallon of water in the side tank. So it makes a lot of ice! It comes with a filter and descale cleaner, which is really great! Overall product it extremely nice. Made well and the ice quality is exactly what you get when you go to a restaurant!

As long as it stays on, it stays cold enough to always have fresh ice in the bin. I turned it off overnight to test it and some of it melted but not as bad as I thought it would. My main issue is that it’s somewhat loud and will turn on/off as ice melts and it makes more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nugget ice maker is fantastic! I was worried that it would be way too big when I saw the box, but it was just packaged well. Once out of the box, it was easy to set up. Do measure the height of your counter space if you plan on keeping it below a cabinet, as my cabinets are about a 1/2 inch too short. However, with some rearranging, we were able to place it elsewhere. This has a large capacity and would be great for a large family or someone who entertains often. It’s nice to have “the good ice” on hand!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow!!! The GE Profile icemaker is a game changer in my home. We love that we can just scoop and fill our cups. We have even been making our own version of a snow cone with the ice it produces. No more ice trays to fill. It fits nicely on my counter, It doesn't take up much space, looks sleek, and blends well with the countertop. My only complaint is that the outside tank hasn't worked since we set it up. Im happy for the inside tank. I just put a bottle of spring water in, and shortly, there's ice. The double tank is a great idea. It is also cool that the setup was easy.I love how when you use ice, it automatically begins replenishing as long as there is water in the tank. If contemplating on purchasing, contemplate no more.get it ,you will not be disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy setup, quiet, large water capacity. Fantastic so far. I have a piece of crap Samsung refrigerator with an ice maker in the fridge. Nevertheless it hasn’t worked right ever and quit shortly after warranty expired. Fast forward to the last seven years of countertop ice makers. I have been through so many I lost count. Finally decided to get a nugget ice maker. We tried a few of those and they failed miserably. Loud and ice output was low. Was about to give up and found this Opal 2.0XL on sale and bit the bullet. Love the extra large side tank and it was easy to set up and hook up to Wi-Fi to see current status and set a schedule. I thought the schedule was kind of pointless but I can set it to make fresh ice a few hours before we wake up and instead of having slushy half melted ice from sitting all night we have fresh chewy ice! It actually makes a difference. So far this ice maker is far superior to all the others I have owned.

I just leave it on continuously. Great product!

It’s incredibly easy to set up and clean, and as long as you clean it weekly, the ice stays fresh and bacteria-free. It quickly goes from empty to full in just 3 hours. We use it daily.
