[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Shark Cordless PowerDetect Clean & Empty System Vacuum left me underwhelmed. For the price, it feels flimsy, and the suction power falls short compared to competitors but it makes ir less noisy. The self-emptying base doesn’t add much value since you still have to empty it, and it takes up unnecessary space. It gets the job done, but it’s far from impressive.

I have a cat that spreads litter everywhere and somehow manages to make a trail throughout the house. It takes many passes to get it all up with my past vacuum(s). I am shocked at how well this picks up the litter. I still have to sweep a few times a day but in less time. If you have pets this is for you!

It's "Awkward" to use. Lifting it out of the stand is too high up. The Power on is on the end of the head instead of the trigger. You need two hands to start it, then use the trigger - which changes speed if you keep your finger on it! The latch to angle the shaft is hard to press. It cleans okay and the "auto empty" is nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Shark PowerDetect cordless vacuum is great and cleans efficiently, especially on hardwood and medium pile carpet. However, it occasionally gets stuck on low pile carpet and makes it difficult to maneuver. The self-dispensing system is genius!

We purchased this vacuum for several reasons, especially after testing the Dyson equivalent and at a much higher cost, and this model can’t be beat! 1) I was using a typical vacuum (corded) which was heavy and bulky, 2) we wanted our first cordless vacuum (win, with this model), 3) and love the tech built into the system - so cool.

I've had my shark cordless auto empty for a month now and am loving the covenience of grabbing it anytime for a quick vacuum or a deep cleaning. It is so easy to manuever and get into tight spots so no more moving every piece of furniture. The amount of stuff it picks up is amazing! The docking and automatic dumping is so easy. Mostly I'm so thankful I'm not tripping over a cord anymore! So glad I gave this vacuum a leap of faith!

I bought the Shark PowerDetect Clean & Empty after buying and using the Shark Clean & Empty Cordless for a couple of months (I still have it but will likely use it in our camper or give it to a family member). This one is much more powerful, has features that are much smarter and well implemented than those of the Shark Clean & Empty Cordless but then the price is quite different as well so in this case, you really do get what you pay for. I'm surprised at how well the Shark Cordless PowerDetect Clean & Empty works comparatively. It doesn't struggle or lose suction, it seems able to pick up everything in its path on both hard floors and on carpet and the indicator lights changing color to indicate the detection of dirt is spot on. You can see the little crumbs or bits on the floor just before you run over them and just like you'd expect, the vacuum, detects it, changes the color of the light and if there is several bits of debris, it will even increase the speed of the motor and then ramp back down to save battery after detecting there is nothing else being picked up. The "Detect" features work VERY well and it runs much longer on battery than the Shark Clean & Empty Cordless in spite of their similarities. The build quality is also much nicer as well. I'm a skeptic when it comes to features that seem gimmicky but I'll admit that this Shark cordless really does do all that it says it will do and I'm super happy with my purchase. I only wish I had purchased this model first. If you are considering a Shark cordless vacuum, I would recommend going ahead and getting the Shark Cordless PowerDetect Clean & Empty. Their model names are SOOOO similar that it is definitely confusing but this is their top tier vacuum for a reason, it is leagues above their others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the most incredible vacuum I’ve ever used, and I can say that with confidence because I’m constantly challenged to keep up with a shaggy dog (see pic) who is a “heavy shedder” - translation, fur everywhere. This vacuum is so efficient and easy to operate. I appreciate that it’s much lighter than almost any other vacuum I’ve used, without compromising on suction power or capacity. I especially love that it works like a fine toothed comb - gets into crevices that might be missed by older models. I also appreciate that it empties automatically! I feel like this is the definition of a Smart Vacuum.

It maneuvers easily and the handle is comfortable and the noise level is minimal so I can clean without waking up the kids! The self cleaning dust system is really awesome too. Makes cleanup easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really excited about my new Shark vacuum! It has great suction power—even on the lowest setting, it picks up dirt and pet hair really well. I’ve got a small dog, so I’m always cleaning up after her, and this vacuum makes it easy. The battery life is enough for me to clean my entire two-bedroom apartment without any issues. It’s also super easy to move around, and it converts into a handheld, which is perfect for getting dirt out of my sofas, chairs, and those hard-to-reach corners in the kitchen. One thing I love is how big the dustbin is—I don’t have to empty it often. And after I’m done, I just put the vacuum back on its station, and it cleans itself, which is such a nice feature. Plus, the filtration system works really well, keeping the air fresh while I clean.
