A Decent Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell PowerClean FurFinder Corded vacuum is a good vacuum, but not a great one. The Bissell PowerClean FurFinder Corded vacuum performs well when it comes to pet fur, long hair, crumbs, leaves and such tracked in from outside. But I wouldn’t say that its power or performance was anything outstanding. The vacuum does have many nice features, such as lights to illuminate the floor to see any debris, the ability to stand on its own, the lightweight design, and a long cord. The lights are so helpful to ensure a spot isn’t missed! And the long cord and ability for the vacuum to be free standing is so helpful as you move from room to room or move furniture. My favorite feature of this vacuum was the face it was lightweight, making it easy to handle like a cordless vacuum, but not having to worry about battery power running out or impacting performance. Overall, it’s a good vacuum. It does the job well and is a good value for the price.

Surprised and impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always intentionally avoided stick vacuums. I figured they’d be decent for hard floors, but not powerful enough for carpet. My house has a mix of hardwood and high pile carpet— and has 4 furry residents, so I needed a vacuum that was top notch. Bissell has absolutely changed my perspective on stick vacuums. On the hard floors, it does indeed do amazingly. And the lights! I’ve always thought lights on a vacuum were unnecessary, but now I’m a convert. The lights make every crumb and speck of dirt super easy to see, so you don’t miss anything! When I lift the stick off the roller to get into tight spaces, I find myself wishing I still had a light on the end of it! And speaking of lifting it off the roller— the lever to disconnect the roller sticks out from the vacuum, so you can press it down with your foot and lift it off without even bending over! It’s so quick and easy. The suction is so great that it DOES get the job done just fine on our carpets too. My previous doubt quickly dissipated once I gave it a try. My stairs are carpeted, and I typically procrastinate vacuuming them for an unspeakable amount of time because it’s such a hassle. My previous vacuum was too big to sit on a stair securely while I used the hose, so I’d have to juggle holding the vacuum in place while also actually vacuuming with the hose, and it always felt like either it or I was one erroneous shift in weight away from tumbling down. With this vacuum, it’s so quick and easy that I did it TWICE in one day! The cord length is great, and I actually feel like it’s fairly quiet, as far as vacuums go. The one shortcoming of this vacuum, especially with it being a “FurFinder,” is the capacity of the dust cup. It is very quick and easy to empty, but you will have to empty it considerably more often than your typical non-stick vacuum.

Bright lights and no more battery anxiety

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been testing out the Bissell PowerClean FurFinder for a few weeks now, using it about three times a week. I have a Black Lab with that short, stiff hair that usually sticks to everything. Honestly, after using a cordless vacuum for years, it actually feels great to go back to a corded model. The cord on this thing is super long, so I can finally hit my whole 3,000 sq. ft. house in one go without the "battery anxiety" of my old vacuum dying every 20 minutes. It’s surprisingly lighter than my cordless was, too. One of my favorite features is the built-in headlights—they illuminate debris I didn’t even know was there! That said, it’s not perfect. I’ve noticed I sometimes have to pass over the same spot twice to get every last crumb. I also tried using it on my boucle fabric couch, and it really struggled to pull the hair out. To be fair, boucle is notoriously difficult for any vacuum to clean because of the loopy texture, so I don’t necessarily think it’s a flaw with this specific machine—it’s just a tough material to work with. On the plus side, it’s self-standing, which makes it way easier to tuck away in my storage cabinet. Overall, it’s a solid choice for daily maintenance on rugs and hardwoods, especially for pet hair. It’s great for keeping up with light messes, but if you only vacuum once a week and have a lot of buildup, it’s definitely not as efficient.

Thanks for your detailed feedback, Elizabeth—we’re glad the BISSELL PowerClean® FurFinder™ is helping with daily pet hair and that the long cord and headlights are working well for you. For spots that need an extra pass or tougher fabrics like boucle, slower passes or a dedicated upholstery tool can help. If you’d like more tips or assistance, our BISSELL support team is happy to help at support.bissell.com.

The almost perfect vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I call this vacuum the almost perfect vacuum for my needs. I've owned many vacuums before and this one is by far the one I would recommend to a friend. I own a two story house with upstairs being all carpet and downstairs all wood floor. In this house also live 3 little dogs and 2 messy kids. I basically have to vacuum every day or else the house is covered in dirt, random leaves and crumbs. This vacuum first off is very light for everyday use. The cord is very long so I don't have to constantly change outlets to get around different rooms. It felt a little flimsy when I first tried to stand it up but it has not fallen down once and it takes up so little space in the house. I love that I wind the cord up at the top and not towards the bottom because I feel like bending over doing that gives me a backache. I love the built in light function because I didn't know how much dust was all over the floor. The switch from low to hi suction is also very smooth with a touch of a button and the high suction is strong enough that I can suck in the debris that surrounds the baseboard of the house. I also love that it basically goes flat so I can get underneath my cabinets and chairs and tables. Now having gushed over all the positives, there were couple things I did not like about the vacuum. I felt like bigger debris definitely had to be sucked up using the hi suction and the vacuum does get a little hotter if you keep using it at that level. Also this one is minor but I didn't like the placement of the power and the hi/low change button. I feel like it should have been swapped because when I'm vacuuming I keep pressing the wrong button. But overall, this is a very light and small vacuum that can handle hard floors as well as carpet with no issue. It does a fantastic job picking up small debris, dog hair and crumbs off the floor and at the end of the day it fits into a small nook in my closet and doesn't take up much room. 5 out of 5 in my opinion.

Pet Hair Pro

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With two shedding dogs, plus our children, we vacuum quite frequently. I was skeptical of how something so small would do with dog hair, but I have been very impressed! I have several great Bissell products so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. The PowerClean FurFinder handled our everyday pet hair and crumbs with ease. I love that it has headlights to help see when vacuuming under couches or tables. It comes with 3 attachments that are especially helpful when cleaning furniture or the stairs, which are typically more difficult to clean. It could do a little better on area rugs. I like the self standing feature and my favorite part is that the top chamber comes off to use like a handheld vacuum with the attachments. Overall, very lightweight, convenient, and effective. I would definitely recommend!

This is it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off by saying I have the cordless version and it performed great in the beginning but with time the constant battery charging started to become annoying. I liked using the highest setting which drained the battery faster. I loved everything about the vacuum like the weight of it, the self cleaning fur guard roll, and the fur guard headlights, and the easy to dump vacuum canister but I was hoping for a corded version and here it is! After using this corded version it’s everything I needed in a stick vacuum! I can keep it on the highest suction without having to worry of how much time I have left. I noticed the suction seems to be more powerful than the cordless version too. The corded version is for the entire house vacuuming and the cordless will now be used for small clean ups and in the car. Without a doubt both versions are great at sucking up dog hair. I have a double coated doggie so daily vacuuming is a must and the fur guard technology is really top tier. It’s such an easy vacuum with little real estate and I can just put it in my broom closet. The self standing design is great and sturdy. My absolute favorite part is the fur guard headlights which illuminate every little crumb, hair, dust and it’s so satisfying to watch! Highly recommend!

Bissell FurFinder great for pets and wool rugs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Bissell PowerClean FurFinder Corded vacuum for everyday cleaning, and it’s been a reliable and practical option—especially for a home with pets. Even though I had a non-shedding doodle, I notice that this vacuum picks up my hair (I shed a lot!) and shedding from my wool rugs. For everyday messes, it handles things like pet hair (my hair!), wool clothes/rugs, crumbs, and even slightly larger debris surprisingly well. The suction is consistent (one of the biggest perks of it being corded), so it doesn’t lose power mid-clean like some cordless vacuums. Pet hair on hard floors and low-pile wool rugs comes up easily, and the FurFinder tool does a great job pulling hair off furniture. For larger debris like small food pieces or tracked-in dirt (also have a messy toddler!), it performs well, though you may need to go over thicker carpet a couple of times. The self-standing design is a standout feature. It’s incredibly convenient to be able to pause cleaning and have the vacuum stand upright on its own without leaning it against a wall. This makes quick cleanups much easier, especially when you’re multitasking or cleaning around kids or pets. It’s also helpful since the dust bin collection is smaller so it’s nice that it’s able to stand while emptying the dust bin. The built-in headlights are more useful than expected. They really help illuminate dust, pet hair, wool debris, and crumbs that aren’t obvious in normal lighting—especially under furniture or along baseboards. It definitely makes it easier to do a more thorough clean without missing hidden debris. What I like most about this vacuum is the balance of simplicity and effectiveness. It’s lightweight, easy to grab for quick messes, and doesn’t require worrying about charging or battery life (it’s corded!). The consistent suction and pet-focused design make it especially useful for daily maintenance cleaning rather than heavy-duty deep cleans. Overall, it’s a great choice if you want something straightforward, effective for pet hair, and convenient for everyday use.

Lightweight and Powerful for Pet Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really impressed with this vacuum so far. It was super easy to assemble and even easier to use… there are only three buttons, which I love. It’s lightweight, simple, and doesn’t feel overwhelming at all. One of my favorite features is the bright headlight. It really helps you see dust, pet hair, and debris you’d normally miss… especially along walls and edges. And on the low setting, it’s so quiet I can vacuum while my toddler is napping, which is a huge win in my house. As a pet owner (and a mom with kids who shed plenty of hair too), this handled both pet hair and long human hair really well. My Aussie sheds in big clumps, and this vacuum picked it all up quickly without the brush roll getting tangled. That alone impressed me. The suction power is strong, especially for a lightweight corded stick vacuum. Most areas only needed one pass, and I loved how well it cleaned right up against the walls… I didn’t even need to go back with a hand tool for edges. The self-standing feature has been so convenient. I can pause mid-clean, go do something, and come right back without having to lean it against anything. I’ve mostly used it on hardwood floors, but I also used it to clean out an entire 2400 sq ft home and it did a great job. I used the attachments on cabinets, around the fireplace, and even on the couch, and everything worked really well. The only downside I noticed is that it struggled a bit with larger debris like bigger crumbs or chip pieces. It handled smaller dirt and crumbs great, but bigger pieces sometimes needed a second pass or didn’t pick up as easily. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this, especially for pet owners or busy households. It’s lightweight, powerful, easy to use, and makes everyday cleaning so much simpler.

Bissell furfinder with cord

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This handheld/stick vacuum with cord is a powerful thing! I loved the lightweight handling and the cord is long enough that I can reach to most areas of the first floor without having to unplug. It came with a bag of extra tool attachments and I love the power head that really helps clean carpet. The cleaning of the head is easy as well as it pops out! The canister holds a good amount of dust before needing emptying. Very powerful and portable.

The life changing magic of the FurFinder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous vacuum was my "old stand by" for many years. I thought it was doing a fine enough job until recently, when I tried to suck some kitty litter up, and it just sent the litter flying around the floor. Frustrated, I found the corded FurFinder and was ecstatic to try it out. It was incredible. It absolutely IS incredible. I had to stop to take a picture after not having even finished the first carpeted room because it had reached its full capacity. It is a little bit top heavy and lighter on the bottom, which is the opposite of my old vacuum, so it'll take a bit of getting used to in that regard. But other than that tiny detail, I'm completely over the moon and feel like my house is actually getting clean for the first time. For context: we live in an older home (pre 1900) and we have a mix of hardwood floors and carpeted floors. We have two kids and a cat, and this has vacuum has changed our lives for the better. Oh - one last thing - did I mention it is QUIET?! A huge positive for me.
