The cake was overcooked and the icing was too sweet. The best part was the strawberry gel. I expected a lot better

This was an absolute no for me. So much fondant and the strawberry flavor gel tasted so artificial. It was not edible and returned it immediately. We would've eaten around all the frosting and topping but even the cake its self was dry and flavorless. It makes me think they were trying to make the cheapest cake possible just for the sake of calling it a cake. I miss the actual strawberries and whipped topping white cake they use to have.

This cake is so good. My daughter wanted this cake for her birthday and it was perfect color and the strawberry tastes very good as well. I was more than shocked. Very pretty shade of pink and then a very think layer of strawberries on top. Great job !!

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. It looks cute, but that's where the positives end. The cake tasted extremely artificial, was incredibly dry and crumbly, and the filling and icing were just as bad. It was a complete waste of money. Unfortunately, it looked much better than it tasted. I wouldn't recommend it.

Purchased this for my baby's first birthday it seemed as if it went bad while in fridge for a day! It had these porous white dots everywhere, the icing was rock hard and the bread was dry and hard! It was by far one of the worst cakes I've ever purchased. Ruined her first birthday experience honestly 😭

It's dense, moist and very sweet but not disgustingly sweet. It reminds me of a giant cake pop, so this would be an awesome cake for a child's party. Many reviews are disappointed with the lack of fresh whipped cream and strawberries, but this is not the kind of cake you elevate. This cake aims for the sweet tooth crowd and is meant to be cut into small servings to feed a large group. add candles and ice cream - this is a very affordable and generous cake.

I’ve had many different desserts from Sams. I’ve ordered different birthday cakes or cupcakes for 3 different people every year for the past 4 years and this is by far the worst Sams club cake I’ve ordered. I wish I would have read the reviews BEFORE purchasing like I usually do but it was 3am and I was trying to get an order in before I went to bed so I rushed. 4 people have tried it and don’t like it at all so I guess it’s going in the trash. It’s extremely sweet but artificial tasting. The cake itself is soooo dry it was hard to even cut a slice because it crumbled apart. The frosting is a weird texture and the strawberry glaze on top is horrendous. There is nothing good about it. Plus it’s also only $2 cheaper than a half sheet and you get way less way worse inedible cake. Such a shame because everyone loves strawberry but this is just offensively bad cake.
