Best buy we have ever made. A month and a half after it was installed, we had a big windstorm in Montana (in December). Power was out for 3 days, but our Generac generator started right up and kept running for 3 days, with NO problems at all. Kept us warm, kept the lights on, kept the hot tub hot. We could cook and go on with our daily lives with no hitch. It's a Godsend!

I finished installing generator a mouth ago. Pretty straightforward installation. I had my first outage during a storm last week. Generator started and transferred power within seconds. Very happy with quality and performance of my new generator system.

Replaced name-brand, ng, 15kw mobile (shed/outside/stationary) machine w 26kw Generac. Unit was fine; not enough juice to carry both ac units @ same time. Generac resolved all issues: no going outside to start, easily carries full house load, can be run during storm, no periodic inspections during extended run times. Should've done this in the first place! Great machine w perfect financing (18 mo/no interest)!

Purchasing this generator was similar to putting up a magical ward against power failures. Where the original motivation was a frequent number of outages, we've not had any single outage since installation. In it's standby configuration it's met our expectations.

I purchased this one year ago. It is whole-home capable, completely automatic and easy to monitor with the phone app and the Ecobee thermostat. The generator responds to power loss in seconds. It is very reassuring to know that if our home loses grid power while we are away the app will notify us.

Had this 6 weeks now, just before storm season. Good quality product but difference is the installation by a company that only does generators, not some diversified franchise or one-at-at-a-time electrician. Family run business that concentrates on Generac and installs 5- 7 per week. The price was $2800 less than other vendors and they gave me the confidence of a quality installation and maintenance program.

I have been wanting to purchase a whole home generator for some time. Finally bit the bullet an got a 26KW with transfer switch about a month ago. 2 days ago, 08/13/26, the power died for about 4hours. Unit kicked in flawlessly and handled central AC, stove and package AC unit with ease. I like the fact that natural gas is always ready to go when problems arise. Install was truly professional and exactly as promised. I'm a satisfied customer!

Just purchased the 18kw cellular 15 October 2025 by a Generac dealer. Unfortunately my Propane company couldn't set the tanks until the next morning. The Generac dealer hooked up a 20lb tank to run me through the functionality of the generator. After the Propane company hooked up the tanks to the supply line to the generator, I performed a power outage to ensure there were no issues. The unit lost wifi connectivity. I attempted to reset, but it wouldn't connect. I contacted the dealer/installer and he attempted to connect to the generator. He couldn't, so he walked me through a hard reset. We did a hard reset and was able to Bluetooth connect with the generator and reestablish a wifi connection. On 26 October the generator had an internal fault and a 1505 error. Then it had a CANbus error. It also lost its WiFi connection. I attempted to reconnect it, but it wouldn't let me Bluetooth connect. I had to do a hard reset. I was able to reconnect the WiFi but as soon as I closed the app, it would disconnect from the WiFi. Attempted to reconnect again, same result. Tried again and the unit wouldn't reconnect via Bluetooth. Did another hard reset the next day and was able to reconnect the WiFi. An hour later it disconnected from the WiFi. Contacted the dealer/installer.He had me do a power outage to see if the unit would run. It didn't even though it is in Auto. He had me clear the faults by depressing the Off button for 15 seconds and attempt another power outage after placing it back in Auto. It did not run again. The unit did one exercise run-up on 25 October and has not done another one since even though it is in Auto. A lot of money for what I consider a paperweight and at a minimum a lemon. Waiting to hear back from the installer/dealer when he can come out to fix it. It's was only two weeks old with less than 15 minutes of run time.

I bought this NextGen 28kW to replace a rusty but reliable 20 year old 35 kW Generac. Our NextGen failed immediately at our first power outage 3 weeks after installation and is still nonfunctional after 3 service trips and more than 4 hours labor over the last week.

L I bought this generator less than a month ago and it broke down within the first month installer keeps canceling my appointments to figure out what's wrong.
