Everyone needs this in their kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rice cooker is amazing! I grew up on basic quick white rice. A few years ago I was gifted a little manual rice cooker and started making brown rice and barley often. This make that process so much easier and the end product is so much better. I can’t wait to add additional rices and grains to my meals.

Nice gadget that works for me

I decided that I wanted to eat more grains and beans, so I decided to try it. I know I could do all this on the stove, but I like gadgets that work. It made perfect quinoa and short grain brown rice. For best results pay close attention to the startup menu when starting a cycle, your selections matter. I look forward to trying beans and other grains. The low end capacity works for me. I can see them making a large capacity model in the future…

Love is 95%

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself in order to start eating more grains. I like the step by step process it takes me through, and the resulting products - whether rice, farro, bulgur, etc. My only exception is that, in spite of my rinsing everything before I put it in the cooker, I still have splattering on top as the cooker is working.

Sleek and Functional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid Grain and Rice Cooker is a really clean, simple and functional machine. When I received it, I couldn’t wait to cook grains and absolutely loved that it can cook almost any type of grain you can think of. Customization is also there where you choose the type of grain (even the specifics- what type of rice? Long grain, jasmine, sushi, etc) and the level of “firmness” you want- which is a specification I love. Once you put your grain inside the cooker, it automatically weighs it for you and determines the amount of water needed for both the grain and level of firmness you specified. I have only tried the beans and rice sections so far, but I have so much more to explore. I definitely would recommend this product to any and everyone!

Long time to cook a little

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This may be good for families cooking a large volume of rice or grains at one time, but for just a couple servings it’s not really worth it. Takes a long time to cook and came out dry even with adjusting the settings. I do like that the bowl is dishwasher safe which makes cleaning a breeze.

Easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive my Kitchen Aid grain & rice cooker. This was my first time using one. I made yellow rice and then added shredded chicken to it. The cooker was extremely easy to use. It came with an easy to follow quick start guide and a recipe book with delicious recipes in it! I'm excited to try some of them. Clean-up was extremely easy. I felt it was easier to clean the cooker than a pot like I had done previously. I highly recommend this cooker!!

Simple to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this! I have fixed rice, beans, and even eggs. It is super easy and cleans up quick. They make it simple with no measuring needed. The menu has you select what you are fixing and it automatically measures everything for you. Eggs aren't on the menu selection, but I fixed them by using the steam feature and they turned out perfect. The only thing I would like to see change, is the noise it makes when it's ready. The volume should be louder.

Does not work correctly

I got this product for Christmas. I have tried it every week since then (at least 7 times so far). I'm only trying to cook normal white rice. Every time it cooks, there is sticky water running all over the outside of the device, spilling onto the counter and running onto the floor. I'm only trying to cook 1 cup of rice and the manual says it has a capacity of up to 3.6 cups of dry rice. I can't even imagine what that might be like. I take it apart each time and clean all the parts, but no help.
