It’s pretty strong and big but it works great. You can also set a time when you want it to start cooking so it works as a slow cooker as well. I didn’t get to try lentils yet but rice works great!

My previous quinoa was sad before and now its happy and fluffy! And so easy, just put the quinoa on the machine, water, press the buttons and let it do its thing! i didn’t have to time, worry, check what was happening (i have been distracted before and burnt it).this machine was amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well, but we needed to make adjustment for basmati rice. It was coming out too firm and dry. We now add more water after the rice cooker adds its water. Rice is now coming out nice and fluffy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very glad that I decided to purchase the grain and rice cooker. It is pricey but worth it. I have had the cooker for a month and have made several kinds of rice, beans and grains. It is very easy to use, The Product Guide (which must be downloaded, it isn't included in the packaging) is very detailed with instructions on how to use the appliance, listing minimum and maximum ingredient amounts, cooking and steaming times, step by step instructions on setting up custom cooking cycles, etc. Everything I cooked has come out well; but, you need to experiment to find your preferred texture - soft, regular or firm. I have very limited counter space; but, at only a little over 13" wide and about 8 pounds, its easy to move from the shelf where it is stored. It is easy to clean and I appreciate the pre-wash cycle. I highly recommend the grain and rice cooker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good little device, the starches from the rice have to be washed out really well or the starches are going to get all over the reflective finish on the lid. Also releases a lot a lot of steam all at once towards the end so keep away from cabinetry. Other than that, easy to clean and easy to maneuver the controls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rice cooker is a lifesaver! This is the first one i have ever own, this Kitchenaid rice cooker is amazing! Its has multiple setting for rice, grains, and beans and it cooks all of them in under an hour. The first thing i made in it was Spanish rice and it literally came out perfect! The water dispensers mesures the water out for you, so no more over cooked rice. I never knew that i needed a rice cooker in my life until now!

It is sleek and looks good on my counters so I don’t need to keep taking it in and out. It can make a pretty large capacity too so it's great for a whole family. So happy with this.

I love how easy it is to set up; that all components are dish washer safe. Very cool technology in this machine- I especially love the “keep warm” feature. Additionally, the capacity of it is great, holds probably 10-12 total servings. This would’ve gotten 5 stars except that I found figuring out how to multitask in this cooker (cooking rice and steaming veggies or seafood) difficult to understand. Will take some trial and error, but it’s well worth it!
