Also releases a lot a lot of steam all at once towards the end so keep away from cabinetry. Other than that, easy to clean and easy to maneuver the controls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's so easy to use, and my brown rice came out so fluffy. You just fill up the water and put rice, beans, or grains. It figures out the weight to water ratio. On the digital screen, it shows you a progress bar, and after it's done, it goes into warming mode. Another cool feature is it has a steaming basket, which I wasn't expecting. It doesn't take too much space, as you can see. Overall, KitchenAid has put out a great product.

ONLY vices I have are 1) you have to re-scale it..so it’s an extra step vs a traditional rice cooker and 2) the quick cooking is still 35 mins. Aside for those minor inconveniences, I love this!

First, it’s a very beautifully designed, creates upscale look on my kitchen and matches others high end appliances. I’ve got lots of compliments and questions about it . Comes with colorful and useful cook booklet. I’ve tried rice, beans, oats and barley , comes out perfect every time and you can choose how dense or soft you need your grains to be cooked. Steaming basket gives many possibilities to make variety of foods. Best part - everything is automatic !! No measurements, no mistakes! It works for you, and very high quality touch display guides your every step! On/off switch, convenient button to open. Very easy to clean. Perfect capacity for big or small recipes. Only one minor inconvenience is that l leave fingerprints on top of the lid, while closing it . I used wet paper towel without any chemicals to wipe it on a picture. It takes time to cook, very quiet, has option to keep it warm and delayed start. Basically, makes my busy life easier with stile. I Highly recommend this grain (and not only grain) cooker. Planning to buy one more, as a gift for my daughter. KitchenAid, you’ve done it again!

I got this product for Christmas. I have tried it every week since then (at least 7 times so far). I'm only trying to cook normal white rice. Every time it cooks, there is sticky water running all over the outside of the device, spilling onto the counter and running onto the floor. I'm only trying to cook 1 cup of rice and the manual says it has a capacity of up to 3.6 cups of dry rice. I can't even imagine what that might be like. I take it apart each time and clean all the parts, but no help.

You're not limited to just rice with this appliance, and you can even use it for dry beans and lentils, you name it! I've used it for different types of rice and quinoa so far, and it's great. Now I only need to test it for the steaming option but I love my new rice cooker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid Grain and Rice Cooker was the perfect kitchen appliance to add to my home - I was so excited to receive this product to test out! The rice cooker was super helpful when it came to preparing rice for dinner (we made salmon, white long grain rice, and broccoli). This appliance is very helpful and convenient in the kitchen. I will say I was a bit skeptical at first, but it totally impressed me. The overall functionality is very straight forward and easy to use. It walks you through each step and has different options tailored to what you are cooking and your desired cooking method. The clean up is easy and the ceramic bowl is dishwasher safe. This appliance is relatively large (about the size of an air fryer) so you will need kitchen counter space for it. I love the warming setting/feature that keeps the rice heated after it has been cooked in case you are not ready to immediately serve the rice and have other dishes finishing up. The best part about the KitchenAid Grain and Rice Cooker is the advanced technology. The integrated scale and water tank work together automatically knowing the amount of grains you have added and then it dispenses the right amount of water for your preferred cook. I give this product a 10/10. The rice cooker will be used at least weekly in my household!
