[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't even begin to tell you how much I love my KitchenAid grain and rice cooker. For starters, it's absolutely gorgeous and such a great addition to my counter space. It actually takes up much less room than I was originally thinking. I was a little intimidated when I first unboxed but it honestly couldn't be any easier to use. The beautiful touch screen offers prompts for every step of the way, even showing you what to do, with images. Just fill with water, turn on, select what you're cooking (for example, rice), add food to the pot, select the texture you'd like and choose when to start (now or at a later time). I chose to set it for when my chicken would be ready and it was timed perfectly. As you'll see in my photo, I made the most delicious and perfect fried rice I've ever eaten in my life. So fluffy and each piece was cooked to perfection. The KitchenAid grain and rice cooker is fool proof. It comes with a very well written manual with so many different food options to cook from various rice and grains to all the beans you can possibly think of. So excited to try out all of the recipes in the included recipe book. I love to cook for my family but being such a busy mom, I don't always have the time it takes. This grain and rice cooker will allow me to save so much time. Not only cooking, but also cleaning up. I normally dread cooking rice and oatmeal because of how long it takes me just clean my pots at the end. I'm so happy to report, that is no longer the case. The KitchenAid pot literally cleans itself with the push of a button. I haven't had to descale yet, but maintenance will also be a walk in the park, with just the push of a button. You may have to clean the pot just a tad in the sink or dishwater after using the self clean cycle, but it's nothing in comparison to using just a normal pot on the stove. Obviously, I'm in love with this appliance. Never in a million years will I be cooking rice, beans or oats in any other way. This is a must have!

The texture of the rice was fluffy and it was very easy to use. Clean up was even easier. I think this is a great appliance but I do wish it was not so bulky. I think a sleeker design would be better especially for people with small living space.

ONLY vices I have are 1) you have to re-scale it..so it’s an extra step vs a traditional rice cooker and 2) the quick cooking is still 35 mins. Aside for those minor inconveniences, I love this!

We have had this for a couple weeks and rice is perfect. Trying to cook the steel cut oats recipe in booklet and it keeps telling us to add more liquid to the cooking pot or it tells us we have too much food. Can’t figure that part out. Any suggestions???

I was very intimidated at first since it’s not your everyday rice cooker. Now as for the rice amazing results in a short period of time compared to traditional rice cooker or cooking in a pot. I have not tried cooking grains but I am so excited with cooking meals with this. I can truly set it and forget it. Kinda lol. Overall every time I cook rice it always comes out perfect. I will be experimenting with this every time how cook and see how far I can take my recipes with this new tool.

It makes perfect rice every time.this beautiful sleek helpful tool would be a great addition to your kitchen. I was skeptical of a rice cooker, as I still cooked rice in a pan like my great-grandmother, still using her pan. Well, I toyed with it for several meals and even tried a few recipes in the book that came with it. My favorite thing about this rice cooker is that I can set it up in the morning (it has a delay timer) and then come home in the evening to a hot meal. Another point i feel needs mentioning you don't even need to measure, this sounds a little crazy. This machine weighs your dry rice and then adds the perfect amount of water and time. I saved the best part for last, only one pot to clean, and this machine even cleans itself. Just WOW amazing!!

As someone who practices a Mediterranean diet, the ability to cook a variety of beans and grains to a variety of textures (soft, firm, regular) is awesome. This is going to be my meal prep best friend. I just made some steel cut oats and they were absolutely perfectly done. The machine is touch screen, it walks you through each step, weighs your grains, adds the perfect amount of water, time varies for desired texture, and ends with a pleasant chime when your food is ready. There is a progress bar on the screen while your food is cooking. You have the ability to delay cooking or keep warm which is nice if you want to prep in the morning for dinner. There is also an included steam basket and the machine can function as a steamer for veggies while you cook your grains. I appreciate the aesthetics of this machine, it looks good on my counter and can easily be stored in a lower cabinet or pantry.
