Thoughtfully designed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The main reason I made the purchase was to avoid stove-top spill-over messes when steaming rice. After trying various settings and options offered when making rice - manual or automatic, rinsed or not, I have found the KitchenAid does an excellent job with rice, although I'm still looking to obtain slightly more stickiness in the cooked rice. It does require about 16 minutes more time than my gas stove stop preparation when making rice; and, more time for steaming vegetables than with my conventional electric steamer too. But I like the results. I like no mess. I like "turn it on, walk away" too. I'm looking forward to cooking beans. It has a compact footprint. It sits under the overhead cabinet nicely. I give it a 4.8 rating - slightly less than full 5 stars only because the cooking time of the unit is a bit slow - 35 minutes to cook a cup of white rice.

2-in-1

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine automatically measures how much beans or rice you put in the pot, then adds the appropriate amount of water to cook it. There’s a timer that is set according to how much rice or beans there is in it. It has a touch screen where you can choose what kind of grain or bean you put in the machine. It comes with a large capacity water storage jug. This machine is on the pricier side, but if you are someone who eats rice or dried beans often- and doesn’t own a rice cooker or pressure cooker, I’d opt for this rather than a rice cooker or pressure cooker because of the versatility, 2-in-1 machine.

Simple to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this! I have fixed rice, beans, and even eggs. It is super easy and cleans up quick. They make it simple with no measuring needed. The menu has you select what you are fixing and it automatically measures everything for you. Eggs aren't on the menu selection, but I fixed them by using the steam feature and they turned out perfect. The only thing I would like to see change, is the noise it makes when it's ready. The volume should be louder.

Meal Game Changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the grain and rice cooker for a month and it is awesome! I am using it more then I thought I would for steel cut oats in the morning, farro and beans for salads for lunch and different types of rice for dinner. As a result, I am eating healthier and I am finding it so much easier to add more fiber into my diet! I love this product!❤️

So simple!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it so far, rice and grains are dummy proof! It only comes with one cook pot, it would be very convenient to have a second. Rice for dinner, set up oats on a time delay for breakfast while the cook pot is washing. Overall, super happy with the machine.

Cooker is very practical and convenient for small portions of grains/rices

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have really enjoyed this appliance! I have used several times since receiving it and am a huge fan. I love that it measures the accurate amount of water as this is always something I had difficulty keeping consistent with my previous rice maker. ⁩I also love that it can be used with various grains.

Super Convenient!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this rice and grain cooker and it is amazing! It is super convenient to use, and the rice comes out perfect every time. The built in scale and automatic water dispensing make it super quick and easy to get the rice cooking and takes away the hassle that cooking rice once was.

Convenient and cooks like a dream!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first rice cooker I've ever used, and seeing as how easy and convenient it is, I can't imagine making rice on the stove again! We are vegetarian and eat a lot of beans and pulses, many of which I have to soak overnight or cook for extended periods of time. This cooker makes it so easy to do that, and is big enough to accommodate for the entire family! It's very smart and takes away the measuring and watching steps from me. I only wish that the pot part was stainless steel, as I have moved away from using non-stick.

Magical Grain and Rice Cooker. Magical!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Of all the kitchen gadgets and appliances I've purchased over the years, this little beauty is by far my favorite. It effortlessly makes fluffy rice and great beans. I am tending to make more rice and beans now that I have it, and do believe that it will save me money over time. Whereas before I might be lazy and buy canned beans, or quick cooking rice, now I make them in my cooker. I love that I know exactly what's in them, and no extra sodium is a huge plus for me. You don't really have to measure as it weighs your ingredients then adds the perfect amount of water. I love it!
