[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am 64 years old and I received this toaster on my birthday . This is the first time in my life I have ever owned a four slice toaster and wow who knew what I've been missing . This toaster looks great and I can now make my light toast at the same time as my wife's dark toast and it comes out perfect every time because with two settings I don't have to reset it each time. And with the frozen button I can today our frozen waffles with ease , I wish I had gotten this toaster 40 years ago . I highly recommend it I can't think of anything else you could want in a toaster.

Finally had to get a new toaster after 20 years and noticed the great brand name and design of this toaster. It is very affordable and will look nice with my stainless steel appliances in my new kitchen. I know several people who have recommended GE products and I have several.

It toasts unevenly and splotchy - light in some areas and very dark in others. Also one side toasted more than the other. I went thru all the suggested maintenance steps to no avail. It was somewhat that way when I first used it but I figured it would work thru it somehow but it only got worse! The most frustrating part is that I bought it to replace and old run-of-the-mill toaster that wasn't toasting properly either!

I bought this to replace aGE toaster I had for over 10 years that was not toasting as well as it should. This one is excellent. I tried a cheaper toaster and realized out of the box it was flimsy and not worth even using. Went online to find a GE toaster and saw this. Perfect toast in a short time. I did a lot of research on best toasters on the internet and trust me don’t waste your time. This one is quality!

I had high expectations for this toaster, given the high ratings and being from GE. Unfortunately, I returned it within days of receiving it. It does not toast both sides evenly – not even close, (see pictures). At the 4.5 setting, one side is dark and the other is very light. (No, it wasn’t on the ‘bagel’ setting.) Upon further inspection and testing only about half of the heating elements in all slots were glowing red and in a haphazard pattern. No wonder the toasting is inconsistent! Very disappointing.

Purchased several toasters before finding this one that toasts evenly and is consistent. The design is good looking which helps because it sits out on my counter. Manual dial selecter means less things to go bad (like digital displays) overall I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

the pop up spring is week . doesn't pop up all the way . I don't know if mine is defective or there all like that I'm thinking all because it's like that on both sides . I'll probably take it apart and put new springs in but real you had to go for a cheep spring . Makes me think the whole thing was made cheaply . I'm 65 and I know thing aren't made to last anymore but there is a point when it's just made to cheaply . Oh is this under warranty please let me know .

The toaster is attractive; however, I'm not impress with this product. Three of the ports only toast slice bread on one side! I don't know if the toaster was designed toast this way or if something went wrong in the manufacturing process. At any rate, I expected more from a GE product.

This toaster is very nice. Love the lighted buttons and selections available. Seems to toast evenly, without having to turn your bread. Yay! Wish the slots were just a tiny bit wider, but handles a bagel fairly well. Frozen waffles toasted right the first time, when pushing the 'frozen' button.

Looks great on the dark granite countertop. Excellent design and the external does not get hot even at the highest setting. The toast browns almost evenly on both sides of bread, unlike the other toasters I have had in the past 25 years in which one side browns at the setting while the other side is almost burnt. This toaster, so far since I've only toasted on slice of honey wheat bread, is perfect. The underside cord holder is a plus so there isn't a lot of cord, even with a twist tie, dangling around to the outlet. The wide slots are truly wide for bagels. Another great feature is that the finished toasting pop-up is at the right height. This toaster's handles do not allow to go beyond the manufacturer's adjustment.
