[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was using an older model quad cane that was smaller and heavier, but with age I need something larger and more stable. This Medline aluminum cane is perfect for me. I might just buy a second one.

They also keep the cane in an upright position so it is ready to use. No more leaning it against things and hoping it doesn't fall! It's strong and sturdy, and I would definitely recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cane is very stable due to the wide spread of the base. I feel very secure when I use this cane. I have a small bathroom, not a lot of space to get around or make turns. I put one hand on the vanity and use the cane with my other hand so I can turn around safely. As someone who had my leg amputated 9 months ago, I would definitely recommend this great cane for anyone who has a disability that requires stability and balance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] VERY stable cane and not too heavy considering its base. But the base is the problem. It's FAR TOO BIG!! And the online picture for this item, despite specifying "large base," DOES NOT reflect the true and enormous actual size of the base. Cane provides excellent support and is great if you have a lot of in-home space to negotiate it, but it is really too cumbersome and rather 'glaring' for public or outdoor use.

This is much sturdier than the foldable canes. The 4 feet make it easy to stand beside you with no need to find a chair to hang the cane upon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The height of the cane is adjustable by pressing in a button and moving the cane to a new hole. The problem is that the joint becomes lose over time and the cane begins to wobble.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wide based cane is built sturdy but it wobbles when set on the floor. This is helped by adjusting the rubber tips on the 4 feet but I am concerned that pressure on the cane will push those tip on as far as they will go and the cane will be wobbly again.

It's ok overall, except for one problem. Every so often, one of the rubber tips on the feet fall off. It did make me stumble a few times, and I lost balance and fell once. They sent me a replacement one. I pulled the rubber tips OFF ( easier than it should have been) and put Gorilla Glue all around inside tips and put them back on. Let it sit for a few hours. It seems to have worked, so far. I just thought that other elders should be aware of this. Also, the feet stick out MUCH further than the smaller base cane, but I guess that's the point of the wider base. PLUS, I'm a little clumsy anyway. Good luck, it's a good cane, just be aware of the loose rubber tips.
