I set it up in the living room, where I mainly use it for NFL games and movies. I have used it for a few Days now, and my first impression was it's like I brought the game inside. The setup process was easier than setting up a phone. From my usual seat, the picture looks like a front row seat to a boxing match with the size color and sound. Using the remote and navigating the settings has been very simple , and the built-in sound is an absolute plus. The thing that stands out most to me is definitely the size, because the picture quality but still slim. Something I would want another shopper to know before buying is although it is 98” it's fits nicely. Overall, I would recommend this TV for men who love games and families who love watching movies. Nice picture. CONSTANTLY have to reset the tv. It won't stay connected to the internet. I am forever having to watch tv in my kitchen because the living room LG television won't connect to any of the programming I pay for. I reset the tv, I reconnect the wifi, and the tv plays for 20 minutes. Then it disconnects and refuses all efforts to reconnect. I reset the modem, I reset the receiver, the tv won't connect. Meanwhile I can walk into any other room in the house and instantly watch whatever I want because Phillips and Samsung and ONN work on demand. We chose the LG to avoid remote controls unintentionally controlling televisions of the same brand. Big mistake. 9 out of 10 nights I want to rip the LG off the wall and throw it out the door. I hate it. Pretty soon I will reach that point where it's gone.

So I decided to go bigger and came back with the 98 inch instead. The first time I turned it on, I was amazed. The picture is incredibly sharp and the colors are so vivid, it genuinely feels like I'm inside the movie instead of just watching it. Even older shows and lower quality content look so much cleaner now. As a gamer its awesome! Everything feels smooth and responsive, no lag, just clean gameplay. And when I want a true theater feel, I turn on Filmmaker Mode and it feels like I'm watching exactly what the director intended. I also love that I'm not stuck searching for things to watch. It seems to know what I'm in the mood for, and with hundreds of free channels and thousands of movies and shows built in, I never run out of options. I never need to go to a theater again. The use of the smart function is hit or miss. Even when I have being using it for BBC iplay on one day it may not work the next. I keep getting the message "I keep getting "host name does not match server certificate". I have switched server and TV on and off and checked for software updates but still works sometimes and not others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love our new LG 98-inch NU85 TV! The color and clarity are incredible, and the large screen is perfect for the size of our room. We sit approximately 15 feet away, and the viewing experience feels immersive without being overwhelming. The built-in sound is also surprisingly impressive, with plenty of volume and a great range and depth, even without a soundbar which we will probably not add as its not needed IMHO. This replaced our five-year-old TV, and it's amazing to see just how far the technology has come in that time in terms of picture quality, available app content, etc. We couldn't be happier with the upgrade and love our new LG! The screen is obviously the first thing you notice because it's massive, but I was also really impressed by how thin the TV is. The built in handles are a small detail, but they made moving and positioning a TV this big much easier. The colors look amazing, and the picture feels really immersive on such a large screen. I've also been pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. Another feature I've enjoyed is the AI technology that helps optimize the picture and sound depending on what I'm watching.
