I used to go to Starbucks daily. Now I go once a month. I did 6 months of research trying to decide what super automatic machine to buy. I watched countless videos from Tom's Coffee, ECS, Coffee Kiev etc. I think the biggest concerns I had were over return policies if I didn't like it and FOMO with the fancy machines. When it came down to it, the simple ones can do most of what you might want. While the cold foam might look cool coming from a machine, all you need is a hand frother you can pick up online for $10. I went with the KF6 because overall, I felt like it was the best designed machine with tech, but simple tech that was less likely to break. And that I could access the brew unit for cleaning so that it doesn't get moldy. I was already dialing in my selection when Sam's stated carrying it (bonus). A month in, I can say that I love it. It took a few weeks to find a bean I liked since you can't use most Starbucks beans because they are oily. For espresso, I use LavazzaGeand Creama (grind 1 less than finest with 2 oz water, high temp, 3 beans, strong). For coffee, it was a challenge to get it to be similar to a drip (kept my drip machine because my husband prefers it). But I was able to get pretty close. I use Starbucks Blonde or Pete's Big Bang (1 grind less than coursest, 3 beans, Medium temp, strong, 4.4 oz water). I am allergic to milk, I use Elmurst Barista Coconut/Cashew milk (no seed oils). It froths just perfectly. I like making a flat white (just adjust the latte settings), a shaken espresso %26 an iced latte the most. The swappable hopper is nice. Would buy again!

Kitchen Aid hit a home run with this machine. I've had coffee from Juras and Nespresso machines. I purchased a DeLonghi and used it a few times only to discover broken pieces in the bottom of the box. So I returned it and decided to spend twice as much (gulp) on the Kitchen Aid and it was so worth it. Right away, the packing was so much better, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. (The Delonghi instructions were practically incomprehensible). Everything just works on this machine, from changing default settings, cleaning functions, to of course making fantastic coffee. I'm very happy with my purchase, and am glad the DeLonghi was broken, because I would have just lived with it if it wasn't and not purchased this by far superior product.

Wow! Big hit with the family. Grandam has a custom Latte programed that she set up after 3 cups of testing. Hot chocolate from a package with steamed milk needs an extra shot 2oz of hot water to make it hot. All beans have a different caffeine content. You can make some eye twitching strong expresso with the right beans. This might be a camping game changer.

It’s a great machine. I had a problem with the first one I bought clogging up but they sent a replacement and it seems to work fine. All the features and the design and interfaces are very high end.

First machine was DOA, but the warranty exchange was smooth and painless. Super happy with the quality and ease of use…good value.

I've had my machine for over a year now. I love that you can save multiple profiles and several drinks in each profile. It makes creating a coffee exactly how I like it very easy. But I wish I had got a different coffee maker. It uses a quarter cup of water to rinse every time you turn it on and every time you turn it off. Wasting half a cup of water every use is ridiculous! The coffee Hopper is also very messy and Spills coffee grounds inside the machine. You can access it to clean them up, but they do go moldy quite quickly and it's just a lot of work. The drip trays also constantly get filled from the regular internal workings of the machine and contain not only water but also coffee and so it's always a mucky mess as well.

The KF6 makes great coffee and it's easy to use. Although, often it can takes minutes of pressing the buttons on the right side for them to register and make the coffee.

I received this as a gift over the summer (2025). I enjoy the capabilities of the machine and how easy it can be to have everything you need in one, somewhat automated machine. Having said that, I have had numerous issues with the machine become clogged (specifically the brew unit. And yes - I have ensure my water quality is top notch and I'm performing regular (and overly frequent) cleanings as perscribed on the site and instructions. I''m not happy with this.

Worked great for a month. Then it wanted to clean itself and for me to change the filter. My water is filtered before it goes to machine but no apparent way to get around this. Could not restart after changing filter even though the filter was clean and didn’t need to be changed. I am an intelligent person born before computer age and Connor figure out how to restart this coffee machine. Instructions assume a lot and following them gets nowhere. How about a machine that is not so complicated? This one is terrible!!!!!
