Moreover, I've noticed a SIGNIFICANT improvement in energy efficiency, leading to minimal spikes in energy usage during laundry cycles (observed thru utility companies app on phone) The AI technology in the washing machine and dryer, such as AI OptiWash and AI Optimal Dry, promises an enhanced laundry experience. Samsung, I guess, believes 5½ hours for "rapid wash" mode is acceptable. Perhaps "rapid" is relative to geological time scales or the heat death of the universe. My favorite part is needing to dry almost every load twice! Nothing says "cutting-edge AI technology" like clothes that come out damp after a full dry cycle. The "AI" must stand for "Absolutely Inadequate" because it certainly hasn't learned how to actually dry fabric. But hey, at least it's "Bespoke" - which apparently means you can choose what color you'd like your disappointment to come in.

Awful. Please don’t buy appliances with AI in them, it’s not a useful addition. We stayed at an apartment that has one of these washer/dryers, and first problems arose when it wouldn’t let us choose a specific temperature for a dry cycle. Instead it said that the temperature was “sensor based,” which is ridiculous. These appliances shouldn’t limit what one wants to use it for. I for one always dry my clothes on low heat since I’ve had a history of them shrinking. Next, we only wanted to dry for a shorter amount of time after the wash, because originally it said the dry cycle would take 4 hours, and we don’t have that kind of time when a normal dry cycle should only be an hour, with the option to add more (or less) time if you so desire. So we decided to just end the cycle halfway through, but as we did so the dryer kept the door locked with a message that the machine was too hot. Even unplugging it did not unlock the door, and we spent ages with all sorts of troubleshooting techniques to try to get the thing open. Frankly it doesn’t make sense to prevent opening the door because the dryer is hot; I’m confident in my ability to remove hot clothes without burning myself, firstly, and secondly, not opening the door is what caused it to take forever to cool down in the first place. If you learn anything from this, please, don’t spend your money on an appliance that uses AI, asks for an app, or requires a Wi-Fi connection. It would be okay if it was easy to override the AI, because truly we should be able to decide when our clothes are done. Would give 0 stars if I could.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is INCREDIBLE. Very efficient, ties in well to the SmartThings ecosystem, and is very good at giving a great clean. I was hesitant because I had seen issues with heat pump dryers leaving clothes damp, but there are no issues with this one! My clothes come out fresh each time! The 120v plug is a game changer, as is the no venting requirement. It is perfect for a retrofit from gas to electric without needing to run a 240v circuit. If I had to pick out any negatives for the product I would say the time it takes to do a load on AI efficiency mode might be an issue if there were a bunch of kids in our family, but I don't think that should be a showstopper for anyone. The only other complaint is the lint that likes to collect in the rubber seal on the door. A little bit of a pain to clean, but my suggestion to fix that is use a sock that is turned inside out to wipe it down.

I've always been bad at remembering to transfer the wet wash over to the dryer and would always end up rewashing the load of laundry! With this machine that's not the case! Throw in your dirty clothing and hit the start button, come back later and you have clean dry clothing! Every load of laundry I have done with this machine has been perfectly dry! I'd recommend this machine to anyone!

Honestly the technology in these units is outrageous. Washing and drying a load of laundry in two hours using less than 1kw/hour of electricity! Unheard of! Yeah sometimes a load takes a little longer, though I've yet to see one take over 3 hours. In my eyes it's a small price to pay for never having to worry about a dryer vent again. Tons of features and cycles, washes linen sheets and auto dispenses specialty detergents for delicates or a standard detergent for regular loads. Using the ai features the machine is also insanely efficient at dispensing detergent. Old machine averaged 50 ml of specialty detergent per load, this one is 9 ml. But somehow sheets are cleaner! Honestly I'm just praying the machine is reliable because the functionality, convenience, and efficiency is seriously something else.

The combo machine has been good for us. Once we figured out the different functions and how to work the machine. New concept takes a little getting used to but not having to babysit between the wash and dry cycle is great. Would highly recommend for anyone in the market
