Grinds bean nicely, and easily adjusts to the right grind. The static the machine creates can be messy though. I found that if you grind the beans and let them set for a while before opening the hopper to scoop your coffee it is much less messy. I wish the hopper was made of aluminum instead of plastic.

I have had several of the smaller cuisinart grinders over the years and decided to upgrade. This is not an upgrade. The adjustable grind seems to be the same on all settings. Very messy and gets grounds all over when removing the bin that the ground coffee is in. Very disappointing.

Really a nice burr grinder, especially for the price. I like it is one touch operation and that you can set it for a few or a lot of cups.... I wish the grinding plates were metal instead of plastic, but they look pretty durable and hopefully will last while. Also it would be helpful if there was a chart in the directions about what settings for what kind of coffee or brewer, just to give a starting point. But I really like it and I would buy it again for sure!

The styling is attractive, making a nice addition to a counter top. Easy to use and easy to clean are significant factors for me and this unit meets those easily. I really like the ease of adjusting the coarseness of the grind. This is a highly recommended purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does a great job grinding and is accurate when setting the amount you want to grind. Very convenient. The only downside is that it seems impossible to get the coffee grinds out without making a mess! We have coffee grinds on our counter every time we try to transfer them from the grinder to the coffee pot.

Bought this grinder thinking it would improve quality of taste from using my Cuisinart non-burr grinder with my Cuisinart Automatic Drip Coffee Maker. Problems were getting the grinds out of the plastic holder because of static electricity grinds would stick to the plastic container. When I made the coffee in the machine with the grinds, for some reason the coffee would overflow in the funnel and cause a coffee grind mess in the machine. We retired the grinder and we are back to our old blender type grinder. Coffee taste is good and no mess.

This is our second grinder. It is a replacement of the first. We had our first for about ten years before it quit. Upon its dying I took it apart to try and revive it, only to find about a pound of ground coffee inside that made it die. As stated above this is a replacement and hope that it will last as long as the other but something in the design lets ground coffee into the motor housing

When set from MEDIUM to COARSE grinds and using Starbucks beans, a build-up of very fine "dust" develops in the top corner of the collector cup. This was what I was trying to avoid as it tends to fill the pores of the filter, slowing the percolation. When brewing a full 12 cups, this backup has caused the coffee to overflow the basket---creating quite a mess! (By the way, #2-13 below are grayed out--preventing me from posting photos.)

The grinder was a gift and I use it daily. I broke a small piece off the base of the plastic receptical almost immediately so I learned to be careful. I would prefer that to be made of metal ie stainless steel. I like a coarse grind and use the coarsest setting on the machine. I would prefer that the grind be just a little more coarse but I’m not dissatisfied. My comments are observations not complaints. I enjoy the machine and the coffee it produces.

Great unit. Grinds very consistently. I find it underdoses by 2 cups on drip pots, so just adjust it and you're good to go. The clear acrylic container gets really static charged so a mess sometimes happens with dust. It's not bad enough to be concerned overall. Would buy again.
