I've been using a blade grinder for many years. The one I had finally started acting up. I purchased the Cuisinart b u r r grinder, it couldn't be more impressed. Granted I've only had it for a short time but as long as it holds up it seems to be an excellent product. Much like all the other Cuisinart kitchen appliances are purchased.

Bought this because of the Cuisinart name and the reviews. I like to grind my coffee very fine. It does a nice job. It is rather noisy and the container that the ground coffee enter into is hard to clean. And the opening in the grinder (where the coffee exits the machine) is small and hard to clean. Hence the 4 star rating.

Really love my Cuisinart coffee grinder. Very easy to use, easy to adjust grind and capacity is just right. My only small criticism is that the going is totally even. The bulk turns out great but it does build up very fine particles and a few larger. But machines that are known for perfect grind are much more expensive and this grinder makes excellent coffee so I would definitely recommend.

I got this for my husband as a Christmas present and he LOVES it! He likes whole beans freshly grounded so he would use a hand cranked coffee bean miller and that would be a little time consuming. He mentioned a coffee grinder that he dad had and I did some research and this one was the model above it. He also likes to drink espresso so with the different settings of how fine or coarse you like the grounds to be, it works very well for coffee lovers.

This is my first coffee grinder since buying one of those small cap style grinders that basically grinds enough for one cup of coffee many years ago. I make a nice size pitcher of cold brew and needed something larger. This grinder is perfect. It can grind more than I need and does coarse grinding very well so I can store some without having to grind it every time I make coffee, which is every couple of days. Easy to use and easy to clean. Very pleased with it.

I have not used it for long, that said, to date it’s been a great grinder for the money. I use one that’s double its price and slightly prefer it because it’s quicker and better looking, though this one is not unattractive and gets the job done. It’ll be a great backup.

Purchased this burr grinder after I had already gone through four Cuisinart blade grinders (the plastic parts inside the grinding cup always fail after a year or so). So far, so good. Consistent grinding, easy to control the coarseness of the grind. Only one problem: We like to blend our beans (some flavored coffees with a generic medium roast, maybe every now and again grind some Kona or Jamaican Blue Mountain for a Sunday morning, etc.). Getting a consistent percentage of blend with this is difficult due to needing to pre-fill the hopper - you have to carefully spread different beans around inside the hopper, and it's not always consistent (flavor-wise) after grinding. Also, if there are beans in the hopper there's no convenient way to dump them out so we can do a small batch of specialty coffee (e.g. a Sunday pot of Kona). If you only use one type of coffee and don't create specialty blends, then this is a great grinder. For us, it's only good.

This is a nice size grinder for the countertop. I like the quanity of beans the hopper holds and the options for the amount of grind in the dispensing box. The only thing I am a bit disappointed with is that the coarse grind really is not coarse enough, even on maximum. It still seems a bit "fine" even on that coarse max setting.

We enjoy our coffee and using our grinder is why we love it. With the perfect settings, and the features we enjoy, we use our grinder at least once every morning to brew our finest cups of mirning joe. Weve owned an earlier model for several years (6+) and it finally died so we stayed with the quality we have come know in Cuisinart and purchased this model. We noticed this.model is a bit quieter than our previous one, which is a nice bonus. Keep up the great work and well keep on grinding!

This was advertised as one of the quietest burr grinders available. It is not quiet, it’s VERY noisy! It is also advertised as making a uniform grind. It’s not real uniform, I have it set for a medium grind, I get mostly medium but some is very fine grind.
