The hooper is larger, the chute wider allowing beens to fall into the burr grinder. Before, I had to constantly shake my old grinder to ensure smooth flow of beans to the burr. No, just load the double capacity hopper and walk away. Effectively grinds coffee beans hands free operation. No prior grinders had this larger and smoother bean-shoot design. This device is the best outside of large commercial store varieties and very competitively priced. A pleasure to use and easier to keep clean.

I’m very pleased with the capacity of the hopper and the high number of settings to grind from fine to coarse. It remains steady on the counter while working without my two hands keeping it in place. It creates a lot of static, so it’s difficult to contain all the coffee dust, but I don’t know if anyone has come up with a solution for that. I have to work pretty hard to get it completely clean when I’m finished, but the included brush gets into most of the tight spots. I’m satisfied with the product and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates the effort it takes to make an excellent cup of coffee.

We have used this mill for years. Our first one was at a friend home where we left it with them. Now we have the new one at home. The mill is capable of milling fine or coarse depending on the preference. We use it daily and rinse the cup after each use. We find the quality & taste of fresh ground beans so much better. We truly miss this device when we are away from home.

It's convenient to have, but it creates a little static electricity so when you open it to get your grounds some pop out and stick to things. Also, it doesn't create the most consistent grind. Most of what you get is what you want, but then there's a little bit of find ground coffee stuck in one corner. Also, it's kind of noisy.

I purchased this grinder specifically for the coarse grind options. This is for cold brew and for French press brew. I also like the larger size grind container. Overall I am happy with the purchase although it can be a little bit messy to remove the coffee from the bin.

For the price and features, this is a good value. The hopper will accommodate about 10 oz of coffee beans. It takes about 30-45 seconds to do a grind cycle. Resulting grind quaility is good. In a dry climate, some of the grind will static cling to the hopper, so be sure to wipe it out with a dry towel. I'm happy with the purchase and the 4 star rating is due to the static issue.

This grinder is awesome. It has so many levels of grinding that you can get the course grounds you need to do a French press but also the fine grounds you need to do espresso. Perfect for an at home barista. The only problem I have had with it is that it collects water in the bean hopper when put in the dishwasher to clean it. The manual says that all removal parts are top rack dishwasher safe. But I can’t get the water to drain out of the bean hopper, which is frustrating and will probably cause mold or other issues later.

This is the third time I have purchased this grinder. The other two were just worn out. This one is very loud and scale/slider bar is off. In the other two machines I could set the grinder to 8 and that would be the correct amount for my pot. On this one I need to set it to OVER 12 cups to get it to grind the same amount that the other two ground at the 8 cup setting. The grind is also different. Set at the same grind as the other two and it is very coarse. I’m not pleased with this unit at all. Down the road, when this one wears out, I will be considering another manufacturer.

The coarse grind has a lot of fine, powdery grinds mixed in and stuck to the tops and sides of the container, creating a lot of waste. Coffee grinds spit out of the sides, creating a mess, with each use even though the container is firmly seated. I returned the unit.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas present because he likes to buy whole coffee beans. He had been using a very loud ninja grinder (with blades) so I did some research and learned that a burr mill is much better for this job. My husband loves all the features of this product and I love the smell of fresh ground coffee in the morning!
