It does a fantastic job of grinding the beans to a consistent grind and the settings are very accurate for my liking. But i would really like it to not make my counter such a mess. When transferring from the grinder to the coffee machine it is inevitable that a mess will ensue. It is by no means a deal breaker but if anyone knows how to transfer neatly, I would appreciate it

It works great, I love it. Advise— if it suddenly stops working after you’ve had it a while, don’t panic! You need to clear ground coffee from the grinder, particularly near the opening to the receptacle the holds the ground beans. That what the little brush is for. The reason or 4 rather than 5 stars is that our previous one lasted les than 2 years.

I like Cuisinart products and this coffee grinder lives up to the quality I was hoping and expecting to get. Easy to use, easy to clean and works really well with optional settings to optimize your grind. Thanks Cuisinart for another well made product!

WHILE IT IS WORKING, IT DOES A GOOD JOB. THAT IS WHY THIS IS MY 3RD ONE. HOWEVER, THEY BREAKDOWN. THE FIRST ONE I HAD TO OPEN UP AND BYPASS THE TIMER SO I COULD CONTINUE TO USE IT. THE LAST ONE I HAD TO BYPASS A SWITCH BECAUSE A LITTLE PLASTIC NUB ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CONTAINER BROKE OFF. THEY ARE EASIER TO CLEAN THAN OTHERS I HAVE TRIED AND THE MOTOR IS STRONG. IT IS THE ELECTRONIC THAT CONTINUE TO FAIL.

Really disappointed w the DBM-8P1 model coffee grinder. Just purchased and arrived this past week. Waited til weekend to use. There are several issues. The first, the power cord. It has to be adjusted after picking up the unit every single time. Otherwise the grinder will rock. First of several design features. Next, the design of the grinder area. Beans become stuck every single time. Everything goes straight down, but there’s a cover with a slim opening encircling the chamber. Can’t grinder again until the grinding chamber is emptied. This requires more than the enclosed brush. I had to get a pie prick (metal, thickness of a tooth pick) to move the jammed beans. The final issue, after the first grind when I went to do another the grounds were shooting out of the holding chamber. Turns out there’s a slight opening between the grinder unit and the catch bin across the top. The bin itself doesn’t latch in, and can’t be secured. This is being returned. I love the Cuisinart food processors of all sizes. They are the only ones I purchase. Very disappointed. Tried to upload photos.

I purchased this product based on the manufacturers good name. I never expected a problem, but a red flag should have been that the box had been opened and taped up. I threw away the packaging thinking what issues could there be with a coffee grinder. I first used a medium grind for percolated coffee the grinds were so large that the coffee was so weak. So I tried it again between the fine and medium setting. The grinds remained the same and the coffee week. Finally I used the fine setting, still large grains and weak coffee. So disappointing.

Outstanding. Bought this model because of all the great reviews and it’s exactly what they said it would be. The only negative aspect: It is extremely loud, however yes it is a coffee grinder so!I get it…having said that, this will wake everyone up for some wonderfully freshly ground coffee!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does a great job grinding and is accurate when setting the amount you want to grind. Very convenient. The only downside is that it seems impossible to get the coffee grinds out without making a mess! We have coffee grinds on our counter every time we try to transfer them from the grinder to the coffee pot.

The product would be perfect if not for the extremelyl loud noise when grinding beans. It looks great and grinds well but we feel like our hearing will be effected over time. Have had other grinders in the past and know that they are noisy but this one is over the top ridiculously loud.

I’m a French press every morning kinda gal and this grinder works perfect! It truly has made a difference in the taste and quality of my coffee. I had a basic grinder for years. I didn’t know what I was missing. You set the grind to what kind of coffee you are making and the amount according to the size of your press or carafe. I’ve many Cuisinart small appliances and they’ve all been great!
