Dissappointment

I think that the Burr Mill I received is defective. No matter how I set it, there are clumps of powered coffee bean in the receptacle and it sounds strange when it is on. I had a previous Burr Mill given to me as a gift over ten years ago and it worked great until it finally quit. This new one has been a huge disappointment.

You get what you pay for

I owned a Cuisinart coffee grinder, this exact model, for 6 years and it worked great. My son needed one so I gave him mine. So I bought one trying to save some money and bought a less expensive one. I think had it for 6 months and it cratered. So I bought another Cuisinart and I’m so glad I did and relearned the expression you get what you pay for. This thing is built like a tank and offers a lot of different settings so you can grind your coffee just like you want it. I’ll never leave Cuisinart’s quality again.

great burr mill!

I got my first Cuisinart grinder 18 years ago. I loved having freshly ground coffee, the taste is great and the grinder has many selections for types of grinds and amount. my first one cracked near the blade after having it about 7 years. So I bought another. That second one lasted us the next 11 years until I had no choice but to replace it. All in all they have been great machines and I don't see myself owning anything else!

My first coffee grinder

I am a admitted newbie at grinding my own beans. I'm not sure the coffee is any better but it does add a newly-adopted sophistication in the kitchen. My girlfriend seems to be impressed anyway. After a few test grinds, I found out which one worked best in the K-cup brewer and I've been happy. I saw complaints about coffee dust clinging to the sides and getting the countertop messy. Please! It's the kitchen! A damp paper towel wipes up the coffee dust. The grinder cleaned-up well and stored away nicely. It takes about 3-4 hopper fulls to grind a lb. of coffee.

Easy to use and it makes me happy!!

I've had inexpensive coffee grinders in the past but they never last. So I sought out a higher end product which Cuisinart has reputation of high quality products. I bought this in hopes of having something that could be long-lasting and also give me great tasting coffee because, as we all know, there's nothing like fresh ground coffee! This is easy to use, is smaller and streamlined. It does have a little bits of coffee grinds that can make a mess, but it's not a huge deal. I just keep my hand over the hole in the back of the bin that collects the ground coffee and then I tap it on the counter to get all the loose coffee grinds to the bottom of the container. And then I don't have too much spillage. It does make different grinds for pourover, french press or to make a normal pot. I mean it has so many variables in grind. I do not find it to be overly loud when i use it. You can grind as much or as little as you need. So far i am very pleased!!

Adequate Bean Grinder

It grinds coffee beans as advertised. What I don't like is it creates a bit of fine powder and with the plastic container, static electricity is also created. The fine powder ends up on the counter when I open the lid and makes a mess for me to clean up. Had the same problem with my last grinder that wore out after 8 years.

Great, but not perfect for grinding ahead of time

It works fine, but it just seems to be designed for grinding at the time of using the beans, but I like grinding a bunch ahead of time. The setting of how many cups to grind doesn't really translate to cold brew, which is what I like to drink, so I just have to move it to the max and repeat when done. The grind is really good, though. I'm happy with it.

So many grind options - so many coffee choices

This is my second Cuisinart Automatic Burrgrinder. The first lived nearly 10 years and the grind was perfect all the time. I love that it has so many different settings; i can make espresso, iced coffee, drip coffee, pour over coffee or perk coffee just by moving the dial to a perfect setting. When y last one stopped working, i didn’t even look for another brand, just bought it again.

Got a coffee mix with whole hazelnuts in it?

I really love my Supreme Grind. However, one thing about it the particular coffee beans mix I use is, it has whole hazelnuts in it. So, from time to time two of the hazelnuts will fall into the grinding chamber at the same time, they get stuck side by side and that creates some kind of a clog. You then hear the grinder going, but nothing is grinding. It took me a while to figure out what was going on. Now, when that happens, I use the back end of a spoon or a butter knife to push them further in and release the clog. If I only use coffee bean, all is awesome!

They don't make them like they used to.

I bought this coffee grinder to replace the same model which I owned for about 7 years without any issues. The new one I received has issues. The clear plastic bin where the ground coffee is deposited doesn't stay in place, it slides out due to the machines own vibrations when grinding, which causes the grinder to stop. The new machine also grinds far less coffee than the one I replaced. If I set to 10 cups, I have to run it twice to get as much ground coffee as I used to get from the old machine. When grinding, the pitch of the motor raises frequently indicated the beans are not filling the grinder area of the machine. I believe this is the reason I have to grind for twice as long as I used to. I don't know if I got a lemon or if it's a quality control issue, but I am not satisfied with this product.
