Terrible product, doesn't feed, messy to use

The two times I've tried to use this grinder DBM-8P1, it consistently stopped feeding from the hopper into the grinder, even though the hopper has plenty of beans and the output was minimal. The motor just whined away with little to no grinding. Terrible product. Now the motor doesn't come on at all. I noticed smoke coming from the base after several minutes of trying to use it for the 2nd time. I would like a refund.

Decent Burr Grinder

Pros and cons to most things, this grinder too. Nice size and reasonable hopper for home use. Infinite grind size settings adjustable by turning a large wheel which I find very nice and clearly labeled. Coffee beans are ground consistently since purchase a few weeks ago. Cons are not debilitating but include cleaning difficulties. The chute is rather small and due to oil in the coffee beans tends to clog up a bit. Simple enough to brush out but not convinced the cleaning is thorough. Ground beans cling to cup due to static electricity. All in all the Supreme Grind does its job very well, I recommend it.

Loud

If you want a quiet grinder this one is not for you. I prefer to drink a variety of different coffees and I also use decaffeinated beans to control the amount of caffeine depending on whether I’m planning to ride long or short. For those that drink the same coffee/beans every day this grinder is suited for that as you can fill the reservoir and grind the amount of beans desired.

Solid with some minor inconveniences.

This is a solid and reliable kitchen appliance. There are a few minor problems: 1. It's a little noisy. While it only takes 15-20 seconds to grind the amount of coffee you need the decibel level coupled with the high pitch is mildly jarring. 2. It's a little messy. You may need a small brush to clean out the reservoir from time to time. And a scoop to retrieve your coffee helps. I'm pretty sure the brush and the scoop are included with the grinder so that's a nice feature. I recommend this product and I would buy it again.

OK if you don’t need precise quantity control

Had the old version for 6 years. This one looks the same, but it’s noticeably quieter. Main issue is the control for grind quantity. It seems to grind the same amount for 3 or 4 clicks, like from 3-6 on the slider. I do a pour over every morning and I have to change my routine now. At the same setting as the old one it doesn’t grind enough. One extra click and it grinds too much. I will now need to grind too much and store the extra. It’s annoying.

Great features

Bought about 4 months ago and love this grinder. Been trying lots of different whole bean coffees with it. The smell and the freshness are great. Could not be any happier with the grinder. Lots of settings and easy operation and very little clean-up.

Replacement not working the same as previous model

My last one finally died after a few years and daily use. The new one almost exactly the same we have had less than a month is running, but the same settings we used before do not work the same. We are still hoping it will “break in”. The amount of grind is less and the coarseness we have to change coarser than the old one. Usable but frustrating. We may get it dialed in soon. 😏

Great value for the money!!!

This is an excellent value for the money and that's why I bought it. I have several (old) hand crank burr mills which are more time consuming but yield great results. I have had an electric chopper which gave me pieces of plastic along with my coffee grounds. This unit saves time and gives me a decent grind. Yes you can get a more even grind with more expensive units but this does the job and pairs nicely with my Cuisinart CPO 850 coffee maker on the countertop. Great tasting home-roasted coffee!!! One nitpick I have is the container is a little messy when taking the lid off to scoop out the grounds. Yes I would buy this again.

Does a good job overall

I bought this grinder to replace another brand that quit working. This grinder does a good job. However I do not like that the hopper twists around as part of the grind fine/course adjustment. It makes it not fit well in my space due to the size of the hopper. I would probably choose another grinder next time. Also, static electricity is a problem, so we have to grind the coffee several hours prior to needing it to reduce static.

Replacement Coffee Grinder

My last coffee grinder died. It was a Mr. Coffee and I used it every day for about 10 years before it quit working. It just wouldn't turn on, so I decided to try another brand. I have had this Cuisinart for a couple of weeks, and it is working like a charm. Let's hope this one lasts even longer than my last one.
