This grinder is pretty awesome. Easy to use and really like the variety of possible grinds. I have only 1 issue which made this a 4 star review, the hopper lid! I really wish it had a seal and/or fit tighter, it does come off pretty easy, I leave mine full so we can grind our coffee as needed and have knocked the lid off and spilled the beans several times, other than that this is a nice grinder and I would definitely recommend and purchase this again.

About 3 or 4 years ago my step dad picked one of these up for me since I enjoy freshly ground coffee beans so from personal experience I already knew that this was going to make a great gift. My parents have just recently started exploring the idea of keeping whole bean coffee on hand but have this little electric coffee grinder. It works for a single person but if you have two or more people in a house hold not so much. So as you can imagine my step Dada face lit up like a Christmas tree when he saw this was his Christmas gift. Well worth every penny.

I'm satisfied with this machine for the price. It does a decent job and is easy to operate. The only problem I've had is that there is always one bean that refuses to get ground and jumps around like popcorn for the longest time. If you fill the hopper and grind what you need each time that would not be a problem. I usually have 2 or 3 coffees for variety and grind enough of each for a few days at a time so that one bean is frustrating. Still, I'd recommend.

I really appreciate this grinder. It’s accurate, fairly easy to clean, and reliable. I only wish that the hopper could be removed while still holding its contents. I would really love to be able to change hoppers from caffeinated to decaffeinated beans without having to empty the hopper

Very disappointed in this grinder. The coffee beans very slowly drop from the hopper into the grinding mechanism, making it necessary to restart the grinder several times to finish just 8 cups worth. Though we set the grinder to medium coarse, some of the ground coffee comes out way too fine while some comes out coarse. This unit replaces our old one in a similar price range, but its functionality is definitely inferior.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third unit over many years. This new one seems to vibrate much more than other. Much louder also. putting the cover on while grinding would quiet the operation but not with this one. Very loud covered or not. Still works good though.

Our previous grinder (this brand/model) did well for maybe 2.5 years then pooped out. We bought a new one and found that we need to increase the setting to get enough grinds to match the cups of water to make some coffee. It’s not as good as our first one but better than the Krups grinder we owned at one point.

It grinds. Well. The multiple settings work fantastic, especially since I like to use a French press (course setting) as well as an automatic drip machine (medium setting). But it creates a mess every time that use it. Just opening the grinder "basket" sends bean dust flying around my counters. And I am careful. I guess it's just the nature of the product and there is no real way around it.

Possibly well suited for filter coffee, I found it lacking for espresso. Static caused the grounds to coat the catch box, which was a bother. Design prevents operation if the catch box is not in place, but sadly it will operate with the box lid left off - spewing grounds everywhere (my fault, but still - seems a design weakness).

I like that I can fill it once and use it several times before filling it again. It does a great job grinding and gives you fine control, but when you put the grounds into the coffee maker it can be quite messy. Also, it should come with a cleaning brush to wipe it out with each time like the grinder I bought from a different company that didn't last.
