Good Price

This is a great little grinder. I didn't give it 5 stars because it won't grind the last bean or two. I guess it would work better if one used the hopper to store the beans but I don't do it that way. I measure out what I need--depending on which coffee I want that morning--and then put into the hopper. Other than that, it is what I needed.

Great replacement for the same 8 year old grinder

I never thought that the old one would fail and it didnt. It just didnt make a sharp ground coffee grind. The new rplacement produces a very defined powder at the fine setting.and doesnt seem to plug the chute leaving the actual grinder. The timer slide is easier to adjust on this one so if more then one is using it is easy to change. This is all you need to make freshly ground coffee reliabily FOR YEARS.

Your home café with Cuisinart Grinder

I had done my homework when I was search for a good quality coffee grinder. I am very please with the choose I made. I like the size, all the functions and style of the grinder. You can adjust how much coffee beans to grind as well as choose the setting from coarse to fine when grinding the coffee beans. I’d read the opinions of others regarding this grinder and I disagree with you all about the noise. If my coffee grinder didn’t make any noise I would had thought something is wrong with it. It’s easy to use and practical. I would highly recommend this coffee grinder.

Large capacity, not messy, course grind too fine

Besides it being a burr grinder vs blades, love the large capacity and how little mess is made with the Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill. I upgraded from a small grinder which was loud and always left a mess. This can grind more than a cup of beans at a time, and it goes directly into the lower unit. My only complaint is that the coursest grind setting, which I use for cold brew, seems to grind too finely compared to commercial coffee grinders. Still a vast improvement and I'm delighted with my purchase.

Not bad, but not a burr grinder

Well made, but noisy. Lots of fine-ground "powder" produced along with the selected grind texture. Difficult to get those last couple of beans ground. I purchased this as a less-expensive (-30%) replacement for an aging conical burr grinder, but wish I had spent the extra money. This works well enough, but is not as good as a proper burr grinder.

Great grind. Great coffee.

I love the ability to have so many setting to grind my beans. It also allows me to grind just for one cup up to a bunch, about 16 I think. Since I’m the only one drinking coffee I usually set it between 4-8 so I don’t have to ru it often but the beans are relatively freshly ground. I saw complaints about the machine causing a mess but I haven’t had any problems. I cup that receives the ground coffee should be snuggly coupled to the grinder, it sort of clicks when properly inserted. Grinding coffee is not quiet but I’m sure that is to be expected. Love my new grinder.

Best Bean Grinder

Supreme grind is just what it says, Supreme!!! If you want your perfect grind and amount of ground bean every time this is it. Can fine grind for espresso, medium for drip or pour over. Or coarse for press this machine is consistent. Highly recommend. And the setting for your grind amount gives you your correct amount of grind.

Pros and Cons Cuisinart Burr Coffee Grinder

So after MANY years of using the old school blade grinders, fill and hold down, I decided to get a new grinder. I was tired of the inconsistant coffee I ended up with, good one day, awful the next. Originally I was just looking for another blade grinder with a built in timer, but opted for a burr grinder with a hopper. The only thing about this, is you don't have control of exactly how much coffee gets ground each time since they go strictly by time, not weight or volume and they hit blank spots some times. We typically make a full pot, filled to the top, so really 14 cups. I initially purchased the Hamilton Beach grinder of about the same price but it only goes to 14 and doesn't hold very many beans, maybe 2 grinds worth. I was happy the Cuisinart had an 18 cup setting but both needs 2 grinds to get enough coffee, one at 18 and one at 8 to get the coffee level up to 14 cups worth. Since I got this grinder, I've started buying the 40 packs of Melitta filters, they have measuring lines printed on the inside of the filter! So, for 14 cups I fill slightly above the 12 cup line. These are must for these grinders!!! So PROS: I like the Cuisinart for how much coffee it holds, vs. Hamilton Beach. But the Cuisinart has a wonky setup for setting the grind. which means moving the whole hopper. After much experimentation, we've settled on the 4th click from the left, which leaves the hopper in an odd position my wife did not like, ha OCD! Also the Cuisinart has again, a wonky control for the timer, a slide bar, which after a few weeks of use I see is already reading off a bit to the right. The HB on the other hand, has very nice knobs, that turn for the grinds and timer. Both require 2 cycles to get enough coffee for a full pot despite the markings on timer. It also takes up less space on the counter. Setting the Cuisinart to 18 cups yields about 10 cups as shown on the filter measuring lines. But as they both gravity feed the cuisinart hits less blank spots than the HB since it holds more coffee. With the HB it pays to fill it to the top each time, to avoid it just spinning and grinding nothing for seconds at a time, though the Cuisinart also spins fast and slow depending on how the beans feed in. These burr grinder do give a more consistant grind and the coffee has been good every time, except in the beginning, since it wasn't actually putting out enough coffee, resulting in a weak brew. Thats what put the wife off at 1st. It take about the same amount of time to fill the pot with water as to run the 2 cycles it takes to get enough ground coffee. So, it all happens simultaneuously saving time! So I'm sticking with Cuisinart for now, and hope sliding the quantity adjustment back and forth every day doesn't cause it to fail. What I need to do is grind 12 twice and see how that measures up and then I wouldn't need to touch it. So overall happy with it, but dang, it is very noisey 1st thing in the morning! Makes quite a racket!

Now you can consistently brew your best coffee!

This is definitely the best coffee grinder I have ever owned! After a few days of experimentation, I found the exact grind I prefer, the exact amount of coffee we need to grind for our morning cups of coffee, and the precise amount of filtered water to add to the pot---all of these together for our best coffee experience consistently now due to this incredible burr coffee grinder! I love the you can set a number for the fine-ness of the grind for your beans, so no more guessing or eyeballing your product! Also, you can fill the chute above with your roasted beans, allowing you to determine and then establish just how much you want to grind each day, so you can ALWAYS have freshly ground coffee for your beverage in the morning.

So far, so good!

I like my coffee ground fine to use a drip filter. This does the job. I loved grinding my coffee at the grocery store to save time. But good coffee is not available here in New Orleans, so this is my new coffee life. I love the bean hopper and though it is noisy, it works great. Thank you, Cuisinart!
