Mediocre product at best

The motor overheats and stops grinding after the second consecutive batch of beans. You then have to wait for the motor to cool down to continue grinding. So if you want to grind several batches of beans for the rest of the week, it's tedious. I would not have bought this grinder if I knew how undersized the motor is. Poor engineering to allow for the low price -- bad tradeoff for my uses.

Burr Mill adds atouch of class to my kitchen count

This is my fist burr mill and I love it! Much better than the 20 something year old blade grinder I had been using. I can go from fine grind for esspresso to course grind for my drip coffe maker with ease. And the bean hopper keeps me loaded for several days. Wish I'd gotten this sooner!

Best thing I've done for my mornings in years.

I have been wanting a burr grinder for years and finally bought this 2 months ago. It gives a uniform grind and has multiple settings so you can grind for the type of pot you use, from fine to course, Esspresso to French Press. The hopper holds 1/2 pound of beans and there is a slide/selector so that you can grind for as many cups as you want each time. I fill the hopper twice a week, hit the grind button every morning and go to coffee heaven.

Good coffee, loud and messy process.

The good - coffee is ground very well, improving the flavor of the brewed coffee. The downsides - the process is very loud! And messy - the mechanics of removing the ground coffee container requires a bit of force, which in turn causes grounds to spill around the area. Removing the lid to pour ground coffee into the brewer adds to the mess, and there is a consistent "clump" of grounds that stick to the top part of the container - perhaps from how the grounds are shot from the burr process - adds yet another opportunity for mess.

Very happy with this mill.

I bought this to replace a blade grinder that gave inconsistent results. This one grinds the beans perfectly for our taste, and has an adjustment option for fine to coarse, depending on individual needs. We recently traveled to Colombia, and brought several bags of quality beans. This mill (and the beans) created amazing results. Cuisinart always equals quality for us. We've had a Cuisinart food processor for over 20 years and it's still going strong! Hopefully we'll get years of use from this mill.

Very easy to use, mind the dust and static

Great unit. Grinds very consistently. I find it underdoses by 2 cups on drip pots, so just adjust it and you're good to go. The clear acrylic container gets really static charged so a mess sometimes happens with dust. It's not bad enough to be concerned overall. Would buy again.

Great grind

We purchased this grinder after pour other unit failed. We were not sure about this but are very happy with it. We get the grind we like for our coffee with little guess work being a little loud is what makes all grinders do the job they are suppose to do. All in all this ia a very good grinder, well worth the cost.

Quite good but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The grinder makes a normal level of noise and it has good adjustments for the level of grind desired. Transferring the ground coffee from the receptacle to coffee maker or storage container is a bit messy. For the price and the quality of the grind, I would recommend this product

Pretty good coffee accessory.

Works well. Looks good on the countertop. I like that it holds several days worth of beans in the top. Makes more noise that our older grinders. A little messy as the ground coffee has a lot of static electricity & some small ground pop out when you open the bin that holds the ground coffee. Still like it.

Cuisinart Works Well!

This burr grinder is so good, I had to buy it twice! Our first one lasted a good 5-6 years. So I tried a different brand...oh how I wanted that shiny new one to work. It never did. There was barely any difference between Coarse and Fine! I can’t live with my coffee looking like that! Back to the tried and true.Cuisinart. Maybe it’ll last until I die—I’m old now.
