[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this canned cat food regularly in our house. They come in boxes of many cans so we can stock up. The cans stack well together on our shelves. They are easy tab open tops which makes things easier. The serving size of each can is acceptable. The cons are that I hate feeling like I'm wasting so much metal every time because I just throw them out. It would take far too much time to rinse every single one in order to put them in the recycle bin. And I also wish the can label colors were more different from each other so we could easily tell what we're grabbing off the shelf; they're all orange in this set. “I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I keep a variety of Friskies canned foods for my 6 indoor cats and one feral I feed outside. I always put down a pate flavor at each meal, and it is the favorite of 2 cats every meal. While I rotate flavors in the fish family, I can always count on them eating and enjoying Mariner's catch. It's a nice moist consistency and a bit softer than some other flavors. And it smells good even to my nose.

My cat was diagnosed as diabetic. My research showed that dry cat food is very high in carbs, but cats need low-carb, high-protein food. Friskies Pate-style wet cat food has been shown to be among the lowest in carbs, so I switched him to it. He is doing much better, and does not get insulin.

Friskies beat out even the over priced other brands! My cat babies told me so, even my Minxy who is super picky about her food and even her treats! I have to admit, I was very surprised as Friskies is a modestly priced brand. I have offered them every brand out there and Friskies wet food, dry food AND treats was the only brand they ate with joy, not a crumb left in the dish! Let your cats try it, they will let you know how much they love it!

If I have a cheaper store brand and Friskies, my cats can immediately smell the difference. I have 12 cats and give them two of the big cans of canned food each day. If I use one cheaper brand, I feed that one first, then dish out the Friskies. They all come running for that! I will sometimes buy the smaller cans and serve a couple of those also. Sometimes, I just say the heck with it and grab all Friskies. They DO know the difference and love their Friskies. I am always on the lookout for coupons for Friskies wet food, but they really only like the pate, not the other kinds.

Friskies, why did you change Mariners Catch and Ocean Whitefish & Tuna? My kitties have been eating friskies wet food for over 25 years. And I've purchased several 10's of thousands over the years (not an exaggeration) as I've been a rescue with many, many cats since 2000. These two flavors were favorites and are now awful. There are unidentified hard gross pieces of I don't know what...bits all throughout the food, what are these things?? And the food is dry. It used to have a lot of juice or gravy. So far the other pate flavors are still good. But I have approx. 80 cans of this terrible food that I refuse to feed to my indoor or feral kitties outside and that doesn't count the 20 or so cans I opened and wasted before I realized that this was how they ALL were now. Come on Friskies. I always preferred the can size of Friskies over Fancy Feast and my kitties always loved Friskies. This is so disappointing.

My cat adored Mariners Catch for years and years. The new cans we just purchased she won’t touch. The color is different, the food is drier and there’s no gravy. We are having trouble finding something else she will eat now. She’s lost 1/2 Lb in a week because of this. So VERY disappointed that the recipe was changed!
