[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am 64 years old and I received this toaster on my birthday . This is the first time in my life I have ever owned a four slice toaster and wow who knew what I've been missing . This toaster looks great and I can now make my light toast at the same time as my wife's dark toast and it comes out perfect every time because with two settings I don't have to reset it each time. And with the frozen button I can today our frozen waffles with ease , I wish I had gotten this toaster 40 years ago . I highly recommend it I can't think of anything else you could want in a toaster.

A toaster is a thing. An innocuous thing. It's always there and it always works until it doesn't. I needed to replace a cheap toaster I got maybe 18 months ago and did not last. This particular toaster seems to be much better built and performs very well

This toaster is so beautiful. It looks amazing on the counter but you have to be wise about how much space a 4 slice toaster will take up. Luckily our coffee machine is very slim in comparison. I love that there's a bagel option. Wish there was a manual that showed you how dark your toast would be for each number on the dial. Could have sworn I saw it as one of the picture slides when purchasing but we learned thehardware. 3.5 is the perfect toast. Haven't tried cleaning yet. I imagine since it's stainless steel, it may need something else less standard to keep it shiny but it's a toaster, the only thing we touch is the little lever. Highly recommend the toaster.

This toaster is awesome. I bought it to match all of the rest of the brand new GE products that I got in a kitchen appliance package deal. It works best for my elderly father, and my younger cousins. We all love the fact that you can use the lever and lift it up a decent amount where you do not get burned and it’s stays there to retrieve whatever item you just got done toasting. Great product highly recommended.

The toaster is attractive; however, three of the four ports of the toaster toast slice bread only on one side! I don't know if the product was designed to perform this way or did something go wrong in the manufacturing process. Overall, I'm not impressed with the toaster. I expected more from a GE product.

We had an inexpensive 2 slot toaster, it worked fine. The need for a 4 slot toaster with a Bagel setting was a plus! Everyone in the house likes this and it comes out perfect! Just be sure of the setting you like because that is what you get. So worth the price!

Looks great on the dark granite countertop. Excellent design and the external does not get hot even at the highest setting. The toast browns almost evenly on both sides of bread, unlike the other toasters I have had in the past 25 years in which one side browns at the setting while the other side is almost burnt. This toaster, so far since I've only toasted on slice of honey wheat bread, is perfect. The underside cord holder is a plus so there isn't a lot of cord, even with a twist tie, dangling around to the outlet. The wide slots are truly wide for bagels. Another great feature is that the finished toasting pop-up is at the right height. This toaster's handles do not allow to go beyond the manufacturer's adjustment.

It toasts unevenly and splotchy - light in some areas and very dark in others. Also one side toasted more than the other. I went thru all the suggested maintenance steps to no avail. It was somewhat that way when I first used it but I figured it would work thru it somehow but it only got worse! The most frustrating part is that I bought it to replace and old run-of-the-mill toaster that wasn't toasting properly either!

I had high expectations for this toaster, given the high ratings and being from GE. Unfortunately, I returned it within days of receiving it. It does not toast both sides evenly – not even close, (see pictures). At the 4.5 setting, one side is dark and the other is very light. (No, it wasn’t on the ‘bagel’ setting.) Upon further inspection and testing only about half of the heating elements in all slots were glowing red and in a haphazard pattern. No wonder the toasting is inconsistent! Very disappointing.
