Several years ago I tried using a small "capsule like" preventive container, didn't work. A year ago my wife purchased several plug in contraptions that focused on attracting the fruit flies to land and stick on the paper collector. Although we placed three in different plugs around the kitchen, they seemed to congregate to one, yet a majority of the bugs never were attracted to the light and sticky solution. Just when I thought about giving up, I obtained one of the newish "Stem flying bug" collector unit. I was impressed with the detailed trap system, especially the clean design that fits well in our remodeled kitchen, the robust fan and collection area that does well attracting the flying fruit flies that no other similar style bug collection system I previously used. During the winter months, when the population of fruit flies is not prevalent, we have seen no presence of the bugs flying around our fruit stand. The bugs seem more attractive to the unit, as all of the insects were collected in the first week of using the Stem System. We are big free! Winter is ending now, soon we will be opening windows and enjoying the warmer weather. I'm so happy I discovered the Stem system, it is quiet, collects the bags effectively and keeps our kitchen bug free. Can't await to see it work during the warm summer months!

Although it is not yet hot season with fruit flies and all, there were some fruit flies caught in the machine. Maybe because I am using this, I haven't seen any fruit flies in my kitchen since. I hope this still has effects all through out the summer, since those fruit flies are so annoying especially in this warm state Virginia and if this continues to shoo away fruit flies which I think it will, it would be totally awesome!! This is pretty low maintenance only have to exchange that sticker once in a while when those caught bugs gets too many.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thoroughly enjoyed this product. Immediately plugged it into the kitchen outlet when I got it, checked ☑️ n it the next day and sure enough there was fruit flies that had been trapped in it. It creates a low humming sound, not at all bothersome. Would recommend and repurchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The STEM Flying Insects Fan Trap is a chemical-free, quiet, and effective way to keep bugs away. It works well for small flies and mosquitoes, especially indoors. I like this for its ease of use and safeness around kids and pets. However, effectiveness may vary in larger outdoor spaces. A solid, eco-friendly option for insect control!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The STEM Flying Insects Fan trap is people and pet friendly. It is free of chemicals and pesticides. It has dual technology- UV light and fan. It comes with five glue traps. To set up, you simply rotate the upper part of the device counterclockwise. Remove the protective peel from the glue trap to expose the sticky surface. Place the glue trap onto the device base, sticky side up, insert and rotate bottom of the device counterclockwise to close it. Plug a device into an indoor wall socket and select fan speed and duration. Keep plugged in 24/7 and when it's full unplug, then replace with a new glue trap. I love the modern touchscreen capabilities, the quiet fan and the UV light. Although, the fan does have a very low whistle if you are sensitive to that type of noise. I'll be using mine on the patio area this spring because I don't have bugs inside. I do recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This insect fan trap is very cute and easy to use. It's not loud or noise at all. The sticky pads are easy to install and remove. I have not caught many, but there are a few in there, but I will continue to use for sure.

I found this to be more effective in catching mosquitoes the most. I am also a fax of the fact that it traps the bugs in a little compartment rather than zapping them and being on a counter. The size is perfect if you want to take it with you on any camping trip and I found it to be very durable. Overall great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the ingenuity of this device. The uv light definitely attracts the bugs and the fan helps suck them in. I think this combination works really good together. This device also isn't very big, so it's easy to fit in most places around my apartment. I like that the light isn't overbearing, and I actually think it's quite nice looking in the dark. My only drawback is it doesn't seem to catch many fruit flies. I don't know if the fruit flies just aren't as attracted toward this device than other flying bids, or if most of them are simply to powerful to get over powered by the fan. Either way, I think this device is worth purchasing. I will definitely keep using it.
