I especially like that it uses UV light and a fan to attract and trap flying insects without spraying chemicals into the air.the glue trap easy to replace . It’s pretty small and don’t take a lot space.

It’s quiet, effective, and I also happen to enjoy the purple light it emits, almost like a soft night light! No assembly required.

Not only does it catch the little fruit flies but it also catches lager insects like flies. It’s easy to operate, nice sleek look, seems to cover a large distance, very functional and does the job. I haven’t seen any insects since I set up my stem, I’d definitely recommend!

I like that it runs quietly and doesn’t need to spray insect killer around the house. it is especially useful for catching more flying bugs in the kitchen. The compact design also makes it easy to place on the counter without taking up much space.

It uses the power of light to attract them, and the adhesive trap inside to keep them from escaping. It’s a great design that takes only seconds to assemble and the quality is superb. It has a rechargeable battery which lasts around eight hours per charge and it can function while plugged in as well. It has a very pleasant look, akin to a smart speaker, and it’s truly a set it and forget it device. It lets you know when it’s time to replace the filter so your machine works at its best all year round - easy maintenance. We had a rough year here in the south with drain flies, and this device was a huge success with reducing them in a super short time. Also no smell like using chemical repellants which is a huge benefit! This is a wonderful choice and a fabulous product. Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the STEM flying insects fan trap. I was really skeptical to try another small insect trap, because many don't work. I was pleasantly surprised that this actually caught insects. The STEM trap has both a UV light and a fan that sweeps small insects onto a sticky trap at the bottom. I liked that the trap was very easy to assemble and that it came with multiple sticky traps. It also didn't come with any complicated instructions either. The fan isn't very noisy, so you can leave it on in any room without people noticing. It also has a convenient 3-12 hr timer, so I can set it and forget it. Overall, I am very pleased with this device.

If you live in an area where you get a lot of flies and gnats, perhaps from your children or guest coming in and out a lot, then it’s a good device to have. Large capacity and can just dump out. Especially if you don’t like touching the sticky pad to remove on the plug in ones often. My home is bright , and flies will tend to go to the window during the day, so this device works best in a dark area of home or ran in the evening hours, so that the blue light attracts them.

Bought this for my girlfriend after reading reviews and seeing other similar devices online. Unfortunately we could not get it to work consistently. The touch or touch-less controls seemed to have a mind of their own. We could not get the device to reliably power on. At one point it did respond to our touch and stayed on only to turn off a few moments later. If we hovered a finger over the controls it would turn on and off or change the timer but not stay on one. Very annoying, never got to see a single bug in the trap. Also the fan seemed pretty weak when it was on. It says there's 2 speeds but couldn't get the speed to change with the controls. If this had physical buttons it would probably be fine, but the top control surface just didn't work for us. Bummer!

This does not work at all! The fan isnt strong enough to capture any flies, gnats, etc. I’m super annoyed & disappointed.
