It seems like it would be great for catching fruit flies that sometimes invade my kitchen, especially in the summer. I like that it has a UV light on it to attract insects. There is also a timer so it can be set to run at night when it's dark and it will shut off automatically in the morning. The device also looks more like a speaker than a pest control device, so it looks nicer in my home than sticky traps that hang from the ceiling. The bugs are also contained inside meaning nobody has to see them, which is gross and unsightly! The best part about it is that it's chemical free so it is safe to use in the kitchen, where I tend to have the most issues with small flies.

The insects will be sucked down to the bottom so out of sight, and out of mind onto the glue trap inserted at the bottom of the canister. This is an absolute brilliant find! I love the fact you can use the adjustable fan, which is super quiet, to draw the flies in. The timer is added bonus on this fan trap. It isn't too bright, even when left on overnight, so it isn't interrupting the household. It is compact enough you can put it anywhere, and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I can't wait to get another two or three for the summer months when kids leave doors open and we have all kinds of flying bugs in Texas.

Overall about the product: This came nicely packaged and is a well made device. It has a nice looking, smooth top with touch buttons to turn it on, select high or low fan, or adjust run time (always on, 3hr, 8hr, 12hr). In low fan mode, it's very quiet. On the high setting, I can hear it from across the room, but it's fan noise and not loud or distracting at all. If you have a hepa filter in the room, that will most likely be louder. As for operation, it's simple. The device twists apart and you drop one of the round glue discs of which 5 are included. Then, twist it back together and turn it on. Overall, it's the LED enhanced version of a tape fly trap. The LED's are a violet color and don't really bother you unless you look into the device; placing it above or below where you look is best. It's not to bright at night either, but does seem to attract the flying pests. We let it run for a few days and it did catch some annoying little flies . In conclusion : If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, chemical-free solution, this is definitely worth considering!

Every summer I spend tons on sprays and those little apple things with the vinegar-smelling fluid to get rid of gnats & fruit flies, I plugged this up this morning and here it is 6:31pm and I don’t see not 1 gnat flying around in my kitchen!! It’s very portable and easy to move around, and relocate to another room or outside if needed, with no foul smelling liquid. My favorite thing besides it eliminating the insects, is the look of it lit up in my clean kitchen. I’m so in love with it and definitely will be getting more and gifting them to my daughters as housewarming gifts. I’m never spending another summer in Louisiana without these, they are worth every penny‼️
