I can move it to any room and use it. After tying it in a few places I found that I like it best in my garage. It is also easy to change the stick pad it came with that gets the insects stuck.

The spring is here and it’s rained a lot so it’s kind of double bug season this year. This STEM system started working as soon as I plugged it in by immediately attracting house flies, mosquitoes, and fruit flies. How? Plugging it in at night the UV attractant light gets their attention, then, the fan pulling them in so they easily get stuck on the the sticky board. It comes with everything you need to get started, including the device, the USB-C charging cable, the adapter, five glue traps and a brush for cleaning. It is simple to assemble and is attractive to look at. You could almost mistake it for a Bluetooth speaker as you can see in the pictures. No eye sore here! It runs so quietly while it is sucking in all those tiny pests that can carry disease. STEM is people and pet friendly because it is free of chemical insecticides. The digital display on top has buttons for adjusting the fan speed and adjusting the length of time you want it to run. It is so lightweight and easy to carry from room to room. For best results I use it in areas where insects are present like the kitchen, bathroom, near plants and next to pet feeding stations. Every week I use the little brush that came with it for cleaning it out. It’s important to keep it clean if you want it to last a long time. I’m really overjoyed with this new technology because bugs bug me.

It is easy to maintain & change out which is a plus but if you’re looking for something to actually trap a great amount of fruit flies try another brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely crazy about this insect trap! There is no danger to our animals or children at all with an enclosed sticky pad and no chemicals. The light attracts the insects, and the fan sucks them into the cup with the sticky pad inside. It came with 5 refill pads. The first night, I caught a few flies. They aren't bad yet, but being surrounded by the swamp, cattle, and horse pastures, we get bombarded with flies and fruit flies. We used to use the homemade catch bottles that would get spilled and stunk with stuff. Not anymore!

On the other hand, the fan makes noise so it’s not something I want in my life all the time and their other products that don’t have the fan feature work exactly the same in my opinion so I prefer those. Aesthetically it is very nice looking.
