I have tried it all and this fan trap is one of the better options out there. I did not realize how many insects I had in my house until I set up the fan. It comes with disposable glue traps that are easy to replace. The device looks very modern and sleek, very quiet. I like two fan speeds and appreciate that it comes with different timer options.

We've tried the plug in lights, and while they work, it was not with the performance of this fan trap. Having it in the kitchen keeps the little bugs away from their favorite spot, reducing the amount of bugs flying around the house. Love it.

I specifically put it out because there were plenty of flies and insects that we’re getting in to the house that my cats weren’t catching and I checked the trap multiple times and there’s not a single one in it. I do think it’s a good price point for the item, I don’t like that you have to plugged in all the time, but I’m glad it doesn’t take batteries at least. I felt like the fan lasted longer than the 12 hours that it says, I feel like the instructions were simple, but still didn’t do the trick.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]  Out of the box I like the sleek round design of this product. I was looking for paper instructions inside of the box and couldn't find them. I was surprised to find the instructions on the outside of the box, but they are simple and straightforward and set up of this product was very easy. I like the universal plug in for it, basically I can use my iPad charger or similar plugs to use it. After the simple set up and installation of the glue pad. I like the fact that it has a fan speed of low or high as well as different settings for continuous use or three different selections for hour use. Three hours, eight hours, or 12 hours is nice if I don't want this to run 24 hours a day. Also, the fan is very quiet and hardly noticeable. fan part of this product is nice because it helps to suck in the bugs. They are attracted to the UV light. I use a similar product that plugs into the wall and the UV attracts several small flying insects into it, but it doesn't get them all. I'm hoping that this one can help take care of all of them. One big drawback is the fact it does take up "counter space". The competitor product that I use plugs into the wall in an outlet and is mostly out of the way. I will have to find a good place to put this, but I hope to enjoy using it and has fewer gnats in my house.

It’s that time of year where I live when mosquitoes and other little bugs are starting to get in the house and I’ve never been able to keep them out. Well this product gets rid of them for me! It’s super easy to use,not loud, and can be put just about anywhere. I wouldn’t mind having a few of these throughout the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently used bought the STEM Flying Insects Fan Trap to tackle a fruit fly problem in my kitchen. I started by seeing just one or two fruit flies around my countertops, so I set the trap up in the kitchen. After a few hours , it seemed to pull in even more flies. After two full days of continuous use, I noticed fewer fruit flies drifting around the kitchen. What surprised me, however, was that the glue trap insert remained almost empty. I expected to see fruit flies stuck to the adhesive sheet, but there were hardly any. I’m a bit confused about whether they’re being killed inside the unit or simply deterred from that area; either way, the overall amount did drop. As for the design, it’s nice. The fan trap is extremely user-friendly—assembly literally took me seconds. It’s lightweight and compact enough to tuck into a corner without being an eyesore, and it hums so quietly that I barely notice it on If you’re looking for something easy to set up, unobtrusive, and relatively quiet, the STEM Flying Insects Fan Trap is a solid choice. Just be aware that, in my experience, the glued board didn’t accumulate many flies, so I’m not entirely sure how it’s disposing of them.

Love the fact that there are no chemicals and it’s quiet, even when the fan is set to a higher speed. Easy to put together. The UV rays are said to attract bugs and the fans sucks them into the base and they then stick to the sticky trap. Easy clean up! You can set it run for a few hours to 24/7. Great to have for summer months to catch flies, mosquitoes and gnats!

It’s super quiet and I love that it doesn’t use chemicals. The UV light attracts bugs, and the fan pulls them in, but you need to leave it on for a while to see results. It’s easy to set up and clean, plus it’s small so it doesn’t take up much space. Works best in a dark room!
