It's almost summer and we tend to be outside more often which means we have to deal with mosquitoes and other bugs. This Insect Fan Trap works very well. The light attracts the bugs and they end up getting stuck on the sticky pad. I wished the product came with more pads as I only got 2 pads when I received this. Also on Target, in the description it states that it is rechargeable but this product doesn't seem to be rechargeable. I would have given it 5 stars if it was rechargeable.

This is perfect for in-door spaces. It is compact and extremely easy to use. It is natural as well making safe indoors and around kids/pets. It attracts insects with the LED light. It uses a fan to suck them in and a sticky pad inside to trap them. It has zero order which is my favorite feature. The fan has two speeds and is very quiet. You do not notice it’s on. Once fully charged it lasts for hours. It also has 3 time settings so you can turn it on and not worry about forgetting to turn it off. We live in a hot climate and already have mosquitoes. We used it while we sat in our patio and it collected a lot of bugs. Before we used it, the mosquitoes were all around our patio because of the light of phones. Once we turned it on I did not notice any. We will be buying a second to keep on both ends of our patio because it worked so well and is super safe. I hate the smell of harsh chemical based traps. It’s a must have in my opinion.

While it’s portable and easy to move around, I didn’t find it as effective as I hoped. It catches very few bugs, but not nearly as many as other traps I’ve used. For the price, I expected better performance. It feels a bit flimsy too, which makes me question its durability in the long run. Honestly, I haven’t had great experiences with STEM products in general, and this one didn’t change my opinion. Not the worst, but definitely not worth the cost in my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best thing about this insect fan trap is that it takes just a minute or two to set up. All I had to do to start using it was to: separate the top and bottom halves of the device; remove the protective peel from one of the 5 included glue traps; and place a glue trap in the base of the unit. Then I simply plugged it in and turned it on using the power button on the lid. It did a nice job attracting mosquitos via the UV light in an overnight test, with the fan, apparently, 'helping' them into the trap. The fan has 2 speeds; I set it on high, as the fan was very quiet on either speed, so I figured high would work best. You can also set a timer so the device runs for 3, 8 or 12 hours at a time. After a glue trap has been used up, you just open the unit, take out the glue trap and put in a new one. Bottom line; it's an easy to use, no mess device that attracts and traps as advertised.
