I also love how the water levels and chemical levels are clearly marked on the tank so you are confident on the amount to add without needing to measure. Almost immediately I could tell how powerful this cleaner is. The suction is impressive and really pulls the dirt and stuck on particles up from the carpet. My tank water was very brown when I finished a high traffic room! Recently, my child got some sticky candy on a throw pillow. There was also some stubborn dog urine stains and hot chocolate stains on a rug for over a year. Using the attachment for the pillow and the cleaner for the floor, I pretreated with the steam and then went over the stains using the solution and steam. It did a wonderful job getting rid of the sticky residue and pulling up the stains on the carpet. While they aren't 100% gone, it's a huge improvement! The steam really helps make a difference in performance on cleaning up tough stains- as a bonus I feel like I am sanitizing the areas in my home, too! I felt the clean water in the tank was used up quicker with the steam option, but I'm ok with that knowing my floors are getting the best cleaning treatment. The self-cleaning cycle is easy to do. I appreciate the cleaning tools to make clean up more efficient. I am hoping it makes a difference in keeping lines clean from build up or mold. I wish the tanks had a vent so they can dry quicker. A longer power cord would make it easier to clean larger rooms, too. Overall, this is the best cleaner I've ever owned, and it's sharp looking, too with its black and copper accents!

I was truly impressed with how easy it was to assemble this Hydrosteam. Immediately after assembling, which took a total of 4 minutes, I began to fill up the tank with water and cleaner. After placing the tank back on the device, the Hydrosteam was ready to go! Wowza - it got out the dirt stains, sticky chocolate and pasta sauce from our living room. The steam power function was powerful and very necessary for our family of messy kids (including our dog). Watching the dirty water inside the cleaner was satisfying and another testament to how much quality is displayed in this Bissel. Although I haven't utilized the self-cleaning function yet, I'm looking forward to saving time using this tool. We now have 3 Bissel devices and look forward to buying more!

It's definitely a main character. I've used it on pet stains, old stains, coffee stains, and just for overall deep-cleaning of our carpets and I'm impressed every time I use it. I also am really happy with how much money I save. We used to pay a professional company every time we had a stain, but now I can do it myself. I was skeptical about the power of the steam to pre-treat, but I was proven wrong after just 1 pass with the machine. The key is to vacuum your carpet first, then use the Hydrosteam in the Steam Pretreat setting, and then go SLOW back and forth over the area you're targeting in the SteamWash mode. Don't stop until you stop seeing water droplets being sucked up into the hose or else your carpet will take forever to dry. If you want an easy, effective, and economical way to keep your carpets super clean and fresh, I highly recommend you invest in the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam carpet cleaner.

This product literally removed all of the stains created by my cat and kid, all in one hour. It uses this special steam cycle that works alongside its water cycle to lift tough stains. Its powerful suction ensures that heavy dirt is removed efficiently. The included attachments make it super easy to switch from the floor to the upholstery in seconds. The capacity of the tank is more than adequate for a deep clean and it's also really easy to switch out the tanks. The unit itself is easy to clean utilizing its self-cleaning cycle feature and tear down of the unit for storage is super easy. Gone are the days of dreading the carpet cleaning process. The results speak for themselves and it doesn't waste your time. If I had to offer up a negative comment, I would say it's a little heavier than anticipated. However, the pros outweigh the cons on this unit with no leaking, plenty of capacity, and cleaning power. Everything seems to come in twos here—including the accidents! The Bissell Revolution HydroSteam Carpet Cleaner has become an essential cleaning tool for my home. Since owning it, I've cleaned up a tea spill, multiple dog accidents, a high-traffic hallway, and our playroom. I feel like I've tested nearly every feature this machine offers. High-Traffic Hallway and Play Area I started in our playroom using the Steam Pretreat mode on a mystery sticky area (juice? glue? we have no idea!). At first, the pretreat mode didn't completely remove the stickiness. However, it seemed to loosen the mess, because when I immediately followed up with SteamWash Max mode, the spot came right out. Goodbye, mystery sticky spot! The rest of the playroom has older carpet with a beige-and-black mix that already looks a little worn. After cleaning the entire room with the HydroWash Max setting, I noticed a big improvement. The room smelled fresher, and my kids even seemed to sneeze less. I was very happy with the results. The high-traffic hallway was the real test. Our family wears black socks a lot, so you could clearly see the traffic pattern on our white carpet. The carpet isn't new, so I wasn't expecting perfection—just a cleaner look. While cleaning, I was honestly amazed watching the dirty water being suctioned out of the carpet. Seeing all that grime in the tank was incredibly satisfying. The hallway ended up smelling fresh, and the black trail was completely gone. I was thrilled with the results and feel confident I could refresh all the carpeted bedrooms in the house when I have the time. Spot Cleaning I also used the brush attachment on my white carpeted stairs after spilling bright green matcha tea and dealing with a dog urine accident. Attaching the hose was very easy, and it was long enough to reach the top of the staircase in my split-level home. The extra-long hose meant I didn't have to move the heavy machine, which was a huge plus. I sprayed the areas with the nozzle and let the solution sit for a few minutes before lightly scrubbing. Then I turned on the machine and suctioned up the stains. -The dog urine came out immediately. -The matcha tea stain needed a second round of treating, scrubbing, and suctioning, but it came out very clean. Overall, I was very pleased with how easy and effective the process was. Cleaning the Machine Cleaning the machine itself is actually one of its best features. Emptying the dirty water tank is straightforward, just like with most carpet cleaners. What stood out to me was the red filter below the tank, which can be easily wiped clean with a rag. With two dogs and two cats, you can imagine the amount of hair it collects—even after vacuuming beforehand. The brush head also pops out easily, can be rinsed in the sink, and snaps right back into place. After spending so much energy cleaning, the last thing I want is a complicated machine cleanup. These thoughtful features make the process quick and manageable. Honestly, this convenience alone makes the Bissell worth it.

We all have accidents sometimes and our house is no exception. Whether it be someone forgetting to take the dog out or maybe a little something gets spilled on the carpet and rug. But enter this upright carpet cleaner and no matter the mess you can rest assured it's going to be taken care of. Just a little bit of solution for a small area (like my upstairs hallway) or a full gallon of water and solution mixed for a large area this thing has got you covered! You can't get much more power than this unit and the added steam function just gets your carpets or area rugs even cleaner! As an example we used this in our hallway where there was some lingering doggie odor where he had some accidents in the past and just a few passes and this thing killed all that stale urine smell! And after a quick clean out the unit was ready to go again! My daughter said she wasn't feeling well and rather than make it to the restroom decided to vomit on a large area rug and our couch. That gave me the opportunity to use the attached tools and steam clean the whole large area. Well a big brown stain in a whitish rug was a challenge this cleaner was up for! Though it took a few passes it got it cleaned up chunks and all! I couldn't be happier with this machine as just a little bit of cleaner goes a long way! The extra steaming really helps and for those stubborn stale stains and smells you can't ask for more!

I currently own a Bissell and it outperforms this model in its overall power. With this model, a lot of water is left behind and took about 48 hours to dry. It did remove stains and sticky stuff that my kids had left on the rug and the couch really well. The steam power function was also a plus. I thought it was great that it used real steam to clean. This cleaner was also VERY easy to clean. The self cleaning cycle did a really great job of flushing the dirt and debris from the brush roll and inner components of the machine. Overall, this unit cleans pretty well. I just wish it had more power to suck up the water it is leaving behind.

Every carpet cleaner I've tried previously may clean well but is a nightmare to maintain afterwards. The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam is WAY easier to maintain and clean after use than any other carpet cleaner I've tried previously. I tried using it on a weird orange-red spot (goodness knows what it was) on our brand new rug; it removed the spot really well. I did notice that it seemed to leave a bit more dampness after multiple passes then I would like, but the orange-red spot is almost entirely gone. The steam power was fantastic! I do wish that the machine picked up a bit more of the water that it put down but it's nothing excessive, and it's in line with the drying function I have experienced with other machines. Not only was the self-cleaning cycle easy to use, but the entire machine is very easily cleanable. The front of the carpet cleaner's head disassembles and all of the detritus picked up by the cleaner can be scooped right out with the included tool. None of the pet hair or debris that our cleaner picked up went into the dirty water tank and it didn't clog the machine. The tool they give you to clear any pet hair from the machine is plenty long, too, so it's easy to get all of the junk out. I'm really happy with this carpet cleaner!

This Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam Upright Carpet cleaner has been so useful to clean messes as well as improve the look of my carpets! Assembly is so easy and the directions are very straightforward to follow. The unit comes with everything you need to clean right away- including several cleaning solutions, an extendable hose, and several attachments to tackle a variety of messes. It is sturdy, and a little on the heavy side (I needed my husband to carry it up our stairs). So far, I've used this to clean several set in berry stains and mystery messes out of our carpet. This has a super fast warm up time for the steam to be ready to use and has a light to show when it's ready. Within minutes, the SteamWash Max setting removed my stains as if they were never there! It's very effective and I like that this uses steam vs just hot water. I also tried to use it on a grease stain from a glider in our nursery and while the stain didn't completely disappear, it lightened and the surrounding carpet looks much more fluffy again. Cleaning the machine has a few steps, but is worth the effort based on the results of the machine. All in all, this is a worthwhile investment and something I'm very happy to have in my home moving forward, especially when we get a puppy!

Our bedroom carpet gets a lot of foot traffic between the two of us and our two kids, and this machine did a great job bringing it back to life. After cleaning, the dirty water tank was full of dark water and gunk, which really showed how much dirt it pulled out of the carpet that we didn't even realize was there. The cleaning power is impressive, especially with the steam feature. One of the biggest tests for us was a sticky slime mess that had gotten ground into the bedroom carpet. Using the steam function helped loosen it up, and the machine was able to lift it out much better than we expected. The HydroSteam mode combines steam vapor, water, and cleaning solution to penetrate deep into the carpet fibers and loosen stubborn messes before extracting them into the dirty water tank.  We really liked having the steam option because it made tough spots feel much easier to tackle. The machine is definitely on the heavier side, so using it can feel like a bit of a workout on the arms, especially when doing larger areas. But for a deep cleaner with large water tanks and strong suction, that's somewhat expected. Another feature we appreciated is the self-cleaning process. The machine comes with a tray that lets you rinse and clean the brushes and internal parts after use, helping flush out leftover dirt and debris so the machine stays cleaner for the next time you use it.  It makes cleanup a lot easier and saves you from having to manually scrub the brushes. Overall, if you have high-traffic carpet, kids, or messy situations like slime and spills, this cleaner does a great job at deep cleaning and pulling out hidden dirt. It's not the lightest machine to maneuver, but the results made it worth it for us.
