Great Carseat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My overall impression of the Maxi-Cosi Pria All-in-One car seat has been very positive, especially because the all-in-one design makes it feel like a long-term investment that grows with my child from rear-facing to booster mode. Installation was fairly easy, the instructions were clear, and adjusting the harness and headrest to get a safe, secure fit was simple and intuitive. The fabrics feel very soft and high-quality, and my little one appeared comfortable while riding in the seat, even on longer drives. One thing I did notice is that in the rear-facing position on recline number three, it looks to me like my baby is still sitting more upright than expected, which is something parents may want to be mindful of depending on their child’s age and preference. My favorite feature is the no-rethread harness and how easily the seat adjusts as my child grows, making changes quick and stress-free while maintaining a proper fit. I received this car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
Pria all in one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The seat was wide and spacious to accommodate larger kids. I found it difficult to install properly. It was very hard to get seat tight enough to allow foe less than 1 in of lateral movement at the belt path in both forward and rearfacing installation. The fabric was soft, the light colors showed spot easily. Was able to wipe some spots clean with a wet rag. Harness was simple to lengthen and tighten with child in seat. Compared to several other seats, the Pria all-in-one has a lower rearfacing height limit at 40 in. The weight of the seat was nice, would be good for travel. Lighter weight than other comparable seats. Rearfacing installation. Still allowed plenty of room for other kids to pass behind for 3rd row access in our van. Good seat. We used in rear and forward facing for 2 different kids. Both kids were comforta le and happy in the seat. Both are on the smaller side, so the insert was helpful to improve comfort in the more spacious seat. The biggest downfall of this seat is the difficult install. Very difficult to get the seat installed tight enough. I received this carseat as a Stellar Producting Tesing Panel participant.
Easy install and compact but basic features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the Maxi Cosi Pria All-in-One Convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and overall it’s a reliable option. The installation process was very easy, and once installed it feels secure and sturdy which I was happy with. It also fits well in our backseat without feeling too bulky. That being said, the materials don’t feel as luxurious or high-end as some other car seats options, which was a bit disappointing. There are less recline options than other car seats we have tried. The chest harness material feels like it could be improved upon. Depending on your priorities, this car seat could be a great option for you. As far as safety, I feel very safe with my daughter in the car seat but I do believe there to be more luxury options depending on the price you would like to pay. The price for this car seat feels fair for what you receive.
Snug as a bug
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Saftey and comfort are often the 2 most important factors when looking for a car seat. The Maxi Cosi Pria All-in-One Car Seat checks those boxes. It can literally grow with them from infant up to a 100lb child! The seat is one whole peice, with easy to remove padding, 3 rear-reclining options and cup/snack holder on each side. Installation took less than ten minutes from box to car. Size adjustments are super simple with a push of a button to adjust straps and by lifitng the handle at the top. The reclining feature helps keep little heads safe and in place when in the rear position. Snack and cup holders on each side of the seat proved valuable for long care rides. Having an independent 18 month old able to get their cup and snack within reach ials okay with me! Now while this seat really is the bees knees, it's not without it's flaws. Mainly for us, the straps often twist and get a bit turned in the snap part. It's a fixable issue, but one that happens often and is a bit annoying. It'll take that problem though because if the straps are positioned correctly, the child is snug and comfy. That alone gives me good peace of mind so I'll deal with the twists. It's only exacerbated by added winter gear. My family and I are very grateful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for gifting us this Maxi Cosi Pria All-in-One Car Seat. It’s truly a blessing.
Super Comfy and will be used for many years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive this Maxi Cosi Pria All-in-One car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I had just discovered that I needed to replace my toddler's car seat very soon, so it was perfect timing! My toddler loves her new car seat. She loves the cup holders and the soft fabric. She often falls asleep in it while we are out running errands, so it must be pretty comfortable. I think the padding feels nice and soft and cozy, I wish I could take a nap in it! The shoulder strap pads are a bit large, but that probably makes the straps more comfortable, and they are easy to remove with the hook-and-loop fastener. The padding for the crotch buckle is quite large and sometimes makes buckling the seat difficult. I like that the strap placement is easy to adjust, there is no re-threading just squeeze the handle and lift up or down. They are also fairly easy to loosen or tighten. My preteen daughter had trouble getting the latch system fastened, the latches are different from the ones on our previous car seat so I think that confused her a bit and she got the strap twisted, but I also had trouble loosening and tightening the latch straps. That is good for keeping the seat secure, but could be annoying if you need to frequently switch it between cars. I love that it can be used for so many sizes of kids and stages of development. It really could be the only car seat you need for your baby. Really my only complaint is the fabric. The light gray doesn't hide dirt. We have only had the seat for a week or two, but the seat already shows dirt from my toddler's shoes. I have not tried to clean the cover yet but the instruction manual makes it sound easy to remove and clean. So hopefully that will be true, and redeem the fabric in my eyes!
Wonderful Seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a wide range of kids with ages from 6 mos to 8 years old. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel we were given the opportunity to try the Maxi Cosi Pria All in One Convertible Car Seat. We tried it with our range of ages and I will say I enjoyed it. When our eldest was growing we had a Pria seat and the straps were always so hard to get tight on her shoulders. I was quite pleased to see with this newer model that it was very easy to pull and adjust the straps. The seat is so soft and the materials are very nice. I enjoy that there are not flame retardants used on this seat. The color is very nice as well. It was easy to install and use and the adjustable back is easy to use as well. I feel it gives you a great range for ages and sizes. Thank you again to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to try their product. I would recommend this to other families looking to have seat from infant hood to childhood.
Comfy car seat will grow with kiddo
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Cosi Pria All-in-One Car Seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I think it's going to be a great primary car seat for us. Overall impression is it's very comfortable, has super soft fabrics, and was very easy to install. My little one is 2, going on 3, and we plan to rear face for a while which will work great because he can rear face up to 40lbs or 40in which is easy to remember. When I asked him what he thought about his new car seat, he said, “so comfy!” This is a larger car seat with extra padding (some can be removed if needed), so I don't think it would be the best for small cars, but if you're looking for an all-in-one design then this one is great. It's easy to adjust, and my son likes that he can sit pretty upright to see out his window. I feel like this will be a safe car seat for him for a long time as he moves into forward facing and booster modes. My biggest con is the light grey color will probably show messes, but the fabric is really soft and the instruction manual is super clear on cleaning instructions (as well as installation and fit). Overall, 4/5 stars from me!
Great car seat for long term use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have been really happy with the Maxi Cosi Pria All in One. Gorgeous seat with tricky install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this seat as part of the Stellar product testing panel. This car seat is incredibly comfortable and beautifully designed. The fabric is by far my favorite part — it’s so soft, plush, and high-quality, and it feels like a luxury seat for my baby. I also love knowing that my little one can use this seat all the way up to 100 lbs, which makes it a great long-term investment. That said, the installation was very challenging. The seat is very large, and even in my third-row SUV, it pushed the front seat so far forward that it is almost impossible for an adult who is over 6 feet tall to sit comfortably. Getting the seat level was especially difficult — it felt nearly impossible to achieve the correct level and still have usable front-seat space. I ultimately had to use an item under the base to get it level, which is mentioned in the instructions, but it still made me nervous. My front seat is pushed pretty far forward so if going on long trips, the passenger has to sit in the backseat for more comfort. We also tried it in the middle but that made both front seats impossible to use. Overall, this is a stunning, extremely comfortable car seat with amazing fabric and longevity. However, the size and difficult installation are significant drawbacks, especially if space in your vehicle matters. If you have a very roomy vehicle and patience for installation, you’ll likely love it — but it’s not the easiest or most compact option out there.
You get what you pay for
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The first thing I noticed when opening the box was that the seat did not come with a user manual. I'm sure one is probably available online, but personally I hate having to go search online for everything and have my phone out fumbling with a screen that keeps timing out while trying to install a seat. Basic installing of a car seat isn't something you have to have a manual for, but figuring out all the little things for strap adjustment is definitely easier with a manual instead of trying to figure it out by playing around with it. The bottom buckle release was large and easy to unbuckle, yet my younger kids couldn't easily get it open on their own. The metal clips are slightly hooked at the ends and look like they'd hold well in an accident. The top chest clip is quite chunky but also looks like better quality than the usual thinner styles. The belt loosening part is easy to get the straps loosened quickly and the issues I've had with other car seats belts getting uneven seems to have been solved by their design, so that's a plus. The head height adjustment seemed rather stiff when adjusting it, but perhaps this will loosen with use. I also really liked that the rear facing anchor clips can clip to the seat itself when not in use. Definitely a nice little addition. The fabric is soft and plush and the cupholders remove for easy cleaning, which is nice. I do think the seat feels rather wide for my youngest (4 mo old, 17 lbs, see picture) but my other kids (8, 5, 3) had enough room width wise to be very comfortable. My children are all extremely tall and skinny for their age. I worry my oldest will outgrow this seat more quickly than his current carseat because the head adjustment is as high as it goes and seemed barely tall enough for his height (47" tall, see picture). Pictures included are of my 4 mo old, 3 yr old and 8 yr old. Some things I didn't like as much were the lack of recline positions. My current seats have about 7 different recline settings to get it just right for each vehicle, but this seat only has 3 recline positions. Installing the belt through the back of the seat for forward facing was more difficult because you have a very narrow cavity to thread your hand and the seatbelt through. My husband would definitely have an even harder time installing it and his hands aren't particularly large for a guy. There also isn't a way to wind up the excess belt length from the back anchor strap so it just hangs loose everywhere. A rubber band over it works, but then it's an extra thing I have to keep track of. This seat also is more difficult to adjust the strap height (for shoulder height). You have to remove the seat, unstrap the belts from the underside and rethread everything, which is a bit of an extra fuss. Overall this seat seemed to be average quality. It certainly felt like a 'you get what you pay for' deal as far as features are concerned. If you want a car seat with all the fancy features, this is not for you, but if very basic yet comfortable is your goal, then this seat could be a good fit. I will probably use it as a backup seat for my mom to have in her vehicle if she wants to take a kid somewhere, but I personally wouldn't buy it as my main seat. Definitely not the best option if you move seats from vehicle to vehicle a lot.
