Our 8 year old GE microwave failed last night. Searching for the old model number, this model showed up with similar features. Slightly deeper in size but fits in our cabinet fine. Controls are the same as the old unit but rearranged slightly. The only negative issue pertains to illumination. The panel display and the internal light are much dimmer.

Meets my needs. First thing I did was turn off child protection in the door handle. Control panel a bit different than my old one but not a deal breaker. My old one had separate buttons for fresh or frozen vegs. Now there is one vegs button that you push 1 for fresh, 2 for frozen or 3 for canned. Also, I can’t just do 1:30 cooking time. I have to do 1 and hit add 30 seconds. I used the kitchen time often on the old one. It would ding a few times and shut off. This one will ding until it is shut off.

Purchased this s GE 1.6 cu ft microwave to replace our Sharp 1.8 cu ft unit. Unfortunately, GE didn’t have a 1.8 sized unit available to fit our existing built-in cabinet cavity. Appears to be a sturdy & hopefully durable machine. However, the LED display isn’t as bright as our other kitchen appliances with LED displays. Very dim, especially at night time.

Our old microwave stopped working, always when you need it! We went on line and did some research looking at what we were interested in and color. The new one looks great with our appliances and is bigger and more powerful than our old one. It works great and the instructions are simple to follow. It’s a great pick!

This is a typical workhorse small appliance that meets our needs. We mainly use the microwave to reheat leftovers, thaw food occasionally and steam vegetables. My only difficulty is reading the instruction sticker inside the door that describes the function of the sensor settings. I need a magnifying glass to decipher the text.

I have had an over the range microwave for years, which I have not liked. Too difficult to reach up to remove things from the unit. Finally, I got a new countertop microwave and I love it! I has several special choices such as 'beverage' that automatically heats water to just the right temperature for hot tea. Easy to use and cooks everything just right.

I like the sleekness of the design as it allows for a large interior cooking space without a large outer exterior. This is the largest interior we found with the smallest exterior so that it would fit in the space that we needed. There are a lot of settings that are useful. When cooking, the sound emitted is minimal.

We just bought this microwavebecause our other one just quit. I have only had this for a wee and so far it i very good. I don't expect any problems with it and I am happy with it. I would definitely recommend this microwave to my family and friends

My previous microwave was over 20 years old. But it finally gave up the ghost and passed away. I had to have one fast. I researched so many brands my head was spinning. So many familiar brands have gone away, but when I saw the GE model, I felt I could trust it. It is definitely a powerhouse. So far I am very pleased , Its very new and we are getting used to it. But feels solid, the controls are easy to understand. And it will do the job. The only suggestion so far is I wish the illumination on the control panel was brighter and the key pad should be illuminated.

I just purchased this microwave oven as a "refresh" for a very similar GE model I have been using for more years than I can remember. The old one still works fine. I intend to clean it up the best I can and store it in my detached garage in case it is needed in a pinch. The only reason the previous model is going into semi retirement is I allowed the inside to become stained and frankly I am embarrassed of my neglect of this faithful old friend. I trust the same workmanship went into the newer one and look forward having many years of reliable service from it.
