Meets my needs. First thing I did was turn off child protection in the door handle. Control panel a bit different than my old one but not a deal breaker. My old one had separate buttons for fresh or frozen vegs. Now there is one vegs button that you push 1 for fresh, 2 for frozen or 3 for canned. Also, I can’t just do 1:30 cooking time. I have to do 1 and hit add 30 seconds. I used the kitchen time often on the old one. It would ding a few times and shut off. This one will ding until it is shut off.

Great microwave !! This is our 3rd microwave, every microwave we had last more than 12 years, of course got to be GE,our microwaves never brake down, it’s just the interior paint start to peel off but other than that it’s a great brand, heats evenly ,I bought a panansonic and had to return it because it will not heat evenly !!

The first one we bought stopped working after two uses. We bought the "black stainless"but it didn't match our other black stainless appliance from GE...it was more of a silver color. It wasn't near my other appliances, so it wasn't a big deal. But when it stopped working, we returned it and purchased the same microwave in black. This one is working fine, but it has an odd sound for the first few seconds and it really runs loud. Just wondering how long this one will last?!?! If it gives trouble, I will not buy GE again.

Dislike this unit. I’ve had microwaves before without the glass door fogging up between the glass panels. Was told by dealer was not normal, yet mfg says is fine. It is awful to clean because inside is not flat, it has pockets I guess you’d call it. Also when heating things up, the food cools down too quickly. When using my older microwave for 2 minutes for a cup of tea, it stays hot for awhile. This new model when heating tea for same time, cools down the tea much quicker. It’s odd I know but it’s true 🥴

This is a typical workhorse small appliance that meets our needs. We mainly use the microwave to reheat leftovers, thaw food occasionally and steam vegetables. My only difficulty is reading the instruction sticker inside the door that describes the function of the sensor settings. I need a magnifying glass to decipher the text.

Fantastic size, this is my 2nd one. However, the only thing frustrating factor is that this new model has a very light digital clock and I can't read it across my kitchen as I could with my original model. All the functions are easy and great! Would buy it again...and I have!

We just bought this microwavebecause our other one just quit. I have only had this for a wee and so far it i very good. I don't expect any problems with it and I am happy with it. I would definitely recommend this microwave to my family and friends

I bought this to replace an older unit that was with the house when purchased several years ago. Difficult to find one that fit well in the cabinet (didn’t have room for a trim piece). This one is a perfect fit all around. It functions well, heats up hotter on lower settings, the buttons are intuitive and it’s interior is much larger than my former one. To say I am thrilled is an understatement.

Overall, a very good product for the price. Through a series of circumstances, this is our third unit of the same make, and model - Because ultimately we do like it; definitely enough power and a good amount of interior space. That said, besides being loud when it shuts, the door mechanism broke down on our first model. There is also no way to turn off the ‘beep’ sounds… Both of which are minor complaints, I would still recommend this product.

Purchased this s GE 1.6 cu ft microwave to replace our Sharp 1.8 cu ft unit. Unfortunately, GE didn’t have a 1.8 sized unit available to fit our existing built-in cabinet cavity. Appears to be a sturdy & hopefully durable machine. However, the LED display isn’t as bright as our other kitchen appliances with LED displays. Very dim, especially at night time.
