[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Physicians Choice Digestive Enzymes the day before my surgery, and the timing could not have been better. In the past anesthesia and any procedure in my abdominal area have slowed my digestive system way down. I started taking these enzymes the day after, and after meals that were a little bit heavier, such as pasta that I was concerned me, cause a bit of discomfort. I was pleasantly surprised with how well these worked. I had no extra stomach pain, pains or digestive pain pains, and they even seem to help a bit with the bloating that I was experiencing from the surgery. I would not recommend them for just any abdominal surgery and be sure to clear things with your doctor first, but I was OK to take these and I am very thankful for how well they seem to work. I plan to continue to take them, even after I am fully recovered.

I did experience a little aftertaste a couple of times but when taken before eating a full meal, they provided relief from bloating and belly pain. Easy to store, I just keep in a cool cupboard.

These capsules are supposed to help break down food molecules as well as support healthy gut function. The capsules are not too big and easy to take for the most part. I did not notice any unpleasant odor or after taste. The capsules are formulated with 16 enzymes and 2B CFU’s of Probiotics. They are also formulated without dairy, soy, wheat, peanuts, GMO’s shellfish, fish, eggs, sesame, color additives, artificial sweeteners or preservatives. The duration of each capsule seems to be per meal since the directions say 1 capsule right before, during or after a meal. Overall these capsules seem like a good addition to our self care maintenance.

They are supposed to provide necessary fiber and have added probiotics as well. I didn’t notice any discomfort at all with these and they helped me stay regular. I’ve been consistent with taking them in the mornings with my breakfast and I notice a difference especially with being less bloated overall. I’ll continue to take these with my breakfast and see how they perform over time but so far I haven’t noticed any discomfort or side effects and feel less bloated in general.

I couldn't tell a difference, so my assumption is that they work just as well as my usual. I'd buy these and put them in my regular weekly routine without question.
